I went to Dr. David J. Parks in Lancaster, Ca. On a referral from another eye specialist. This QUACK was extremely rude and unprofessional. Besides my having a problem with one eye and relying on his expertise, he completely humiliated me in front of his staff. He was wearing a mask like myself and talking to me with his back to me. I told him that I have a hearing problem. I was being polite about it. I rely most times on reading lips when spoken in to. I didn’t mention the part of reading lips. I just wish for him to speak to me, facing me. I abruptly and rudely snapped back at me and said, “”YOU SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT SOMEONE WITH YOU !”” He told me h was going to put a needle in my eye. I got up and walked out. Under any circumstances DON’T GO TO THIS QUACK…

Horrible experience. Took my mom to Dr Park with the immaculate degeneration they gave her a shot and one of her eyes and she had a bad reaction to it that night. I called the doctor he said for her to take Advil and warm compresses. Went back to have it done the next week for her other eye and the same thing happened. Went to another doctor about it and what was happening was they were not rinsing out the betadine after her shots! The doctor should have known better! We were there for 5 hours the 1st time and 4 the next! We will never go there again or recommend him!

Beware of this doctor, David Parks, unfortunately I used him for a retinal detachment surgery. I had a very shallow retina detachment, with a very small hole in the retina that had been with me for years and was almost unnoticeable. I saw several doctors for diagnosis, and unfortunately the worst mistake of my life was to trust this guy and use him for the surgery. He obliterated a whole quadrant of my retina with cryopexy scarring to seal one small hole in the periphery and he caused another tear in my retina outside of the affected area. I had to have another surgery to fix that tear. I ran away from this guy's office as fast as I could and used another doctor for the surgery. Be forewarned, this is the most destructive eye doctor I ever encountered, I would advise you to find a very reputable doctor for any eye surgery.

Thank goodness I was referred to this excellent doctor. I lost the sight in my right eye due to another reason, so when I had a bleed in my left I I was in a panic. Dr. Parks was able to successfully treat my eye and save the vision. He is very professional but allayed my fears. My primary eye doctor was in 100% agreement with the mehod of treatment and trusts Dr. Parks as much as I do. The staff are all friendly and helpful (I use a wheelchair)and the office is clean and neat. I would not hesitate reccommending Dr. Parks to anyone who needs retina treatment.

I was referred to Dr. Parks after being told I might have a blinding condition. The office was clean, and the staff was friendly and professional. The Doctor took the time to thoroughly examine me and answer my questions. The next day I called the office with more questions, and he returned my phone call personally. I had successful surgery by Dr. Parks and now see better than ever. I would highly recommend him and strongly disagree with the other comments posted here.

I went to this dr. after having awful experience with a Dr. Gallemore . Yes I do have some POSITIVE reviews- but unfortunately after going to a seminar for diabetics at UCLA found that many retina diseased diabetics have had a COMMON occurrence of the worst eye professionals here in the LA area! So we must share the info to avoid horrible doctors in the future! Dr. Boyer is great but his staff is horrible/ Jules Stein- Dr. Tara Young and her fellows are the best bet in the LA area. They take all insurances. Dr. Parks-- went three times-- then he began threatening me with "I am doing you a favor by taking your limited insurance.. no one else would do it.. I know what has to be done and I have to do the surgery now..." Facts- EVERYONE takes Blue Cross and Medicare. Belittling me and beating your chest at how great you are does NOT make you a good doctor nor a good person! My eyesight IMPROVED after the Avastin injection I got at Jules Stein and I did a follow up at Par
