I cannot say enough amazing things about this practice. The desk staff, medical technicians, and audiologists always treated me pleasantly and with respect.

I had ongoing ear infections at the beginning of 2019. I visited urgent care twice and another ENT and was misdiagnosed 4 times. I was referred to the Hoboken office (to Dr. Tandon) who was exceptional. Upon resolving my immediate symptoms, he ordered a CAT scan to confirm my diagnosis. Because he was not a sub-specialist in my condition, he referred me to Dr. Smouha at the 5th Ave location.

I ended up needing surgery which I had about 5 weeks ago. From my first appointment up to the day of the surgery, Dr. Smouha explained the procedure, risks, etc. I had a minor complication post surgery and the office staff got me in right away. Dr. Smouha personally called me every day for a week and had me send photos of my swelling progress to ensure I did not need to return to the office for another visit.

On one occasion, I had to wait over an hour for a follow-up. But when I had my complication and had swelling and severe pain I may have waited ten minutes. Given that emergent issues arise (as happened to me), I understand that offices can get backed up especially when surgeries are involved.

Dr. Smoha's bedside manner is exceptional and I would recommend him to anyone. I am so thankful to have found such an incredibly talented surgeon who genuinely cares about my recovery. Thank you to Dr. Tandon, Dr. Smouha and everyone at ENT and Allergy Associates. You helped preserve my hearing and continue to provide patient care at the highest level.

Dr. Smouha is one of the most talented, highly skilled, knowledgeable, dedicated and compassionate doctors I know! I was privileged to have him as my surgeon to perform a Stapedectomy in January 2019. If you are in search of a wonderful ENT physician, look no further! He is amazing and I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Dr. Smouha has performed 2 very complex cholesteatoma surgeries 17 years ago and was able to preserve my hearing. After not seeing him for 10 years due to moving away, I just flew back to NYC to see him for follow up. I wouldn’t trust ANYONE else to perform surgery on me. He literally wrote the book on Cholesteatomas and is the best in the world.

Dr Smouha was very helpful. I couldn’t hear so well for about 1 year. My doctor recommended him. I got my hearing back and feeling confident more than ever. You know how embarrassing it is to say you understand someone when you really didn’t hear anything they said. Dr smouha helped me get my life back on track and he can help you also.

I went to Dr. Smouha for a large complex Cholesteatoma in the left ear in which he surgically removed in an outpatient procedure. I travelled from a couple states away to have Dr. Smouha as my surgeon. I felt very confident and comfortable from the first time met him. I'm glad I did my research and selected him as my surgeon, He is a highly skilled and compassionate surgeon with excellent bedside manners and follow up. I highly recommend Dr. Smouha, he's the best! Dr Smouha is an excellent doctor in every aspect. I had a recent procedure of removing a cholesteatoma from my right ear and was quite nervous because no doctor in my area wanted to perform the surgery due to the complexity and potential risks. I am greatful that I made the long trip to nyc to have Dr Smouha perform my surgery. I am in minimal pain and he not only cleared the disease but also ridded the root of the issue without any complications. He was able to keep my hearing in tact as well. Hes very intelligent and knows his craft and had put me and my parents at ease pre op. I highly recommend Dr Smouha to anyone who needs answers, solutions and results. The staff, nurses and anesthesiologists at Mt Sinai were incredible as well and I thank them all for the positive experience. Top Notch!!
