Was aggressively told to have spinal fusion. That if I did not, I could fall the wrong way one day and end up paralyzed from the neck down. Scared me enough to do it. Was told he would put a titanium plate and screws to fuse two bones together after removing herniation, that is all. Had the surgery. He never came to see me. I had a cut on my head like someone dropped something on me (dried up blood scabbed on my scalp), and a tape burn on my chest. I even had dried up blood on lower part of my leg leaving me wondering what in the heck happened in that operating room. He never came to see me even when I asked for him. he was too busy and sent someone else instead. Appt difficult and staff not friendly, very quick to rid of me on the phone and rude. Even when I said I needed urgent appt. I was having trouble breathing and felt like I had a ball in my throat, they made me wait a whole month only to push it another 3 weeks out.I regret this surgery; wasn't necessary looking back

I had surgery with Dr. Choudhri in Oct. 2011. I believe he is a top notch surgeon. I had a herniated discs C5-C7. I was stuck on the floor for a month in severe pain (both neck and right arm). The surgery was very successful and and feel great. Awesome man and very good bedside manner. The only negative is that you may have to wait several hoursfor your appointment. But if you want one of the best surgeons in New York, it is worth the wait.

The receptionist called me from the waiting room and quickly slammed the door shut. I came out of the waiting room and she was nowhere to be found. So I walked to the doctor's exam room unescorted. She never greeted me. The doctor assessed me and ordered all kinds of scans in all different positions. I had too much radiations from the CT scans. The doctor never even looked at all the films. He never suggested a follow up appointment. When I called about the results, no one called back. I called many many times. 2 weeks later the NP called back and suggested that i see the pain management. It was infuriating. Why on earth did I see the doctor and paid $345 and where is he? why does not he answers? why did he order all the scans? All for his research? and to teach the students? The doctor never gave any advice.

C5/6 herniated disk. Feeling better by the time I saw him. But he made a point of describing all the risks of NOT having surgery. Ordered more MRIs (flexing) also noted another asymptomatic bulge on the right side; said "we can fix that too during the procedure" Procedure ??? What procedure doc ? He was pushing hard for surgery needless to say. "If it were me, I'd have this surgically fixed never know what can happen." Yeah Doc I know that we can get hit by the bus too. I walked out threw away Rx for MRI and found another doc. Never had surgery; fortunate to have continued the healing process with rest and mild PT. All good now. Fingers crossed.
