I waited for 2 hours writhing in pain, while a patient who just walked in was seen before me. When the receptionist noticed that the nurse called in patient will just walked in, they started to say "She was here first". The nurse cut the receptionist off and said "He's (the patient who had been waiting 5 minutes) more important". Unfortunately, he's the only neurologist on the island that takes my insurance. Poor bedside manner. From what I hear around the "grapevine" he's either really good to his patients, or really awful. He treated me poorly.

Dr. Powell listened to my concerns, answered my questions in detail, and accurately explained the results of my tests. He was professional --but still friendly!

Hello, I'm a patient of Dr.Powell. In my opinion I'm dissatisfied. I have a seizure disorder for some time now and tried numerous medications hoping to control them but, every time was unsuccessful. As time went by, I was having seizures every month that kept getting longer and more worse. My case has exhausted his resources/knowledge and needed surgery. With him being a non-avasive neurologist, he failed to recommend hospitals that can do surgery with the most up to date technology. Failed with trying to manage medication levels which included abruptly stopping one and then immediately starting a new one. I had a severe reaction to it and I ended up in the emergency room having to take a tranquilizer to end the effect. It was a careless mistake. For the surgery, I took care of everything which included a second opinion first, testing, and surgery. Being out of the loop in quote, "Why don't you go back to the surgeon if you are having any problems after surgery" he arrogantly said.
