DR. Swanson is incompetent and nearly kiilled my husband. Despite a family history of prostate cancer and an elevated, rising psa (which we had to fight hard to get) Swanson Refused to refer him to a urologist or to do anything. Even after a lengthy discussion he flippantly said , only 1% die of prostate cancer. Well my husband nearly became that 1%. We switched doctors to one who immediately referred him to an excellent urologist , who did a biopsy and referred him to a cancer specialist. Turns out he had stage 3 advanced prostate cancer that had broken the prostate capsule. Happy to say that with proper medical care he is fine and no cancer (so far). But the story could have been very different if we had not switched doctors. People put their trust in doctors and I don't how he is still allowed to practice. If you think are ill RUN (don't walk) as far away from this quack as fast as you can.

It's hard to write this, as at 33 years old I've been going to him for most of my life, but after today's visit, I'd sooner entrust my health to a sack of yams with a stethoscope than to Graham Swanson. I could write a lengthy essay about how many times this sorry anachronism has screwed up over the past 3 decades, but I'm limited for space, so I'll summarize today's visit which enraged me to the point of having my name removed from their system. a.) Refused to refer for two basic tests that an **ER doctor** mandated after I had DVT-like symptoms after a long flight b.) Refused request to pay out-of-pocket for comprehensive blood panel, incl. 25(OH)D, T3, Zn, Estradiol as "there is no point!". Umm, yes, there is in fact "a point", Swanson...please check out PubMed for teh studiez c.) Was confrontational and rude; a first, as his niceness used to compensate for his incompetence. If you take an active interest in your health in ANY way, look elsewhere. Time to retire, Graham...

I had Dr Swanason as a child. I overdosed and have significant psychiatric issues. When I was in the hospital after a suicide attempt at 13 years I heard him talking to my parents in the next room asking them if they were angry with me. He NEVER bothered to ask why I had attempted my life or provided any counselling or referral for help. I was given charcoal and left to vomit by myself. I was in a signficantly dysfunctional family and finally received therapy in my 30's. I was molested as a child, had several suicide attempts and the best thing he prescribed was sedatives to my mother.

My son has been visiting Dr. Swanson since he was born, and he's now three and a half years old. Dr. Swanson has been great with him. He's always been quick to refer us to specialists, he always fits us in in an emergency. He's friendly and my son looks forward to visiting him. We sometimes have to see student doctors but we knew that when we started going there, and it's never been a problem. We're dreading when he finally retires.

This dr ruined many years of my life by misdiagnosing problems and not referring to a specialist when necessary. Also some of the drugs he prescribes are obscure and not well known at the pharmacy. Tread carefully here!

I saw this doctor many years ago with severe abdominal pains at Christmas time when our own doctor's office was closed so was giving Dr. Swanson's office. He told me I definitely did NOT have a gall bladder prpblem and he did not know what it was. However, a short time later I ended up having my gall bladder removed in an emergency situation by Dr. Riley.

I have going to swanson for about 7 yrs now... I like him but he misdiagnosed a family member... said she didn't have cancer when in fact she did. She died less than a month later...had he admitted her to hosp. like she asked for, she may have had more time with us....

I've been going to Dr. Swanson for about 2 yrs now. I think he's o.k, but he's not nearly as quick at stuff as my former doctor (in a different city). The students he has are sometimes brutally incompetent, so that has been an occasional negative.
