I have been going to Dr Gardner for 36 years and he is one of the most caring, smart, and compassionate doctors I've ever had. Yes , you might have to wait a bit but like others said it's because he gives his patients the time they need and really listens to your questions and concerns. He is not backing out the door while you still have questions to be answered. I always know if I wait I will get my personal time with him too and not be rushed. It's a rare quality these days. I have never found his office personal to be anything but helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Gardner .

Dr Gartner is truly a treasure. He is kind and compassionate. Yes, there is sometimes a wait, but its bc he spends time with each of his patients, putting them at ease, and showing general concern for them. You cant have it both ways, if the doctor never has patients waiting, its bc he is in and out of their rooms within minutes. The wait is never so long that it is unreasonable. When I was pregnant with my son, he was in the hospital for an unrelated reason, saw my name on the board, and came in to visit me. While he was there, he examined me and winded up delivering my son...the other dr on call was there also, but he stayed anyways and saw it through...I doubt he was even paid! When I became pregnant with my daughter, my insurance changed to one that his office didn't accept. He offered to deliver my baby for whatever the insurance would pay him, just in order to put my mind at ease so I didn't have to find a new doctor. He is amongst a very rare breed of doctors!

The word professionalism is very often abused. If a doctor shows empathy is he/she unproffesional? If they need to examine or discuss something which could be sensitive and they take a few moments first making light conversation to ease a patients nerves should they be labeled unproffesional or kind? I'm a patient of Dr. Gartner's and so was my mother. I've found him to be extremly knowledgable and sensitive through a very stressfull and difficult time when my husband and I were struggling to concieve. I did have to wait for a while before a couple of appointments but I also knew that when the doctor saw me he wouldn't rush me off and would answer all of my questions. I didn't forsake the doctor for spending the extra time with patients he saw before me. I highly recommend Dr. Gartner's office for intelligent medical care with a humanistic approach.

The staff is one of the most unprofessional I have ever come across. Wait times can average over two hours, they are rude and unhelpful. It took them over a year to acknowledge a request to forward medical recrods to a new doctor, and their only explanation for the delay was they had "new staff". The doctor likes to ramble about non-medical issues, he schedules twice as many check ups as other OBGYNs, and makes patients feel uncomfortable asking questions. I would avoid him and this practice at all costs.

What a lovely man. It's a shame he's no longer delivering babies! He's kind, compassionate, funny, and just knows how to make you feel comfortable. I would never go to a male OBGYN, but I'd make an exception for Dr. Gartner!

I've been going to the Wyckoff office. He is extremely compassionate, friendly and helpful. This location has an ultrasound machine so check-ups are very convenient. His staff is friendly. It's always a pleasure being seen by him.

Dr. Gartner is great! He's really listens and takes the time to answer questions without talking down to you. His staff is very nice and very professional. The only problem is that he's SO nice EVERYBODY wants to go to him and he frequently falls behind in his appointments. The usual wait for him is about an hour. If you do go to him, ask the staff to give you his first appointment of the day. You'll be much better on time.
