Went to Dr.Kwan after being displeased with my previous doctor and for a second opinion. She was very helpful/friendly/even comforting for a fortunate "scare". I had no problem with her giving me info/results over the phone. I did need a follow up to make sure but I would rather her be cautious than have a problem later on.

Dr. Kwan delivered our baby boy on 07/30/2012 at Lenox Hill. Our experience with Dr. Kwan and her staff has been wonderful. We couldnt have picked a better Doc to help deliver our baby. In my humble opinion, I think Dr. Kwan is the best OBGNY. I would not hesitate to recommend her to my friends and family.

After reading all the bad reviews. I want to give my personal experience. I've been going to Dr Kwan for at least 8 years and she also delivered my baby girl. While in the first few years of going to her. I do feel that we never formed a relationship. But then again, you do only see her once a year if there's nothing wrong with you. Then there's really not much to say. In the beginning, she was very matter of fact, some people might see that as short and rushed. After I got pregnant, I was seeing her more. I now understand, that's just her personality. It takes time for her to warm up to you. She now smiles and (sometimes)jokes with me when I'm in the office. I'd say, you can't build a relationship with any dr in 3/4 visits, that's 3/4 years going once a year. I'm sure she sees at least 10 people a day, just thinking about how hard that is to remember someone whom you see once/year. At the end of the day, you want someone knowledgeable, smart and punctual. And she is all that.

Dr.Kwan helped me delivery two babie in.(2004 and 2005)she was my doctor for 5 years. but,I am a hotel trade worker the insurance only cover by in-network. I am very thankful for her because she very knowledgable and professional and helpful. Dr.kwan is the best OB/GYN doctor that I know.

I have been going to dr Kwan for about ten years. In the beginning I felt she was a little quick with me so I spoke to her about it. I just asked that she take my questions seriously and that iwas looking for a longterm doctor to grow with. At the time I was in my 20's and now as I'm in my late 30's she has been that. Dr Kwan has been supportive of my lifestyle and now my champion in my quest to become pregnant. Its unfortunate that some have had bad experiences with her, I have always had a very communicative and great relationship with her and the staff. Plus working near her office, they've always been prompt with my appointments and respectful of my time. Thanks dr Kwan for over a decade of helpful service and I look forward to navigating pregnancy with you.

Dr. Mindy Kwan is the worst doctor I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. She did not show any interest in my health or well being over the 2+ years and 10+ visits I had at her practice. Dr. Kwan refused to share any test results with me over the phone, which meant 2-3 times the number of trips to the OBGYN than I have made any where else (and more $$ from my co-pays for her). It is obvious by her uncaring demeanor and frequent over-charging that she is in this profession for financial gain. The last straw was when she played up my recent test results and tried to get me to come in every 4 months rather than twice/year. I saught a second and third opinion and both other doctors agreed that she was a fraud and I only needed to have my annual physical (no follow ups needed).

Now that my insurance has changed and I have to switch out of Dr. Kwan after 10 years, I am taking the time to review her. This woman is extremely smart, and extremely thorough. When I called her screaming at 2am while 7 weeks pregnant, she asked me to describe my pain and said "you have appendicitis, go to the emergency room." Meanwhile, after five doctors and one hour in the emergency room, they finally diagnosed "you might have appendicitis." She also found a lump in my breast that I needed removed, thank you again. Finally, she delivered my daughter without a hitch, and was extremely responsive throughout my pregnancy. I think she's really smart, and she may seem quick in the office, but she knows when to take the time, and she will keep you healthy and with a much lower chance of a C-section (she is very patient in the delivery room!). Thanks Dr. Kwan, so sorry to have to leave you because of my insurance change. Also please thank your staff, they were so nice.

Dr. Kwan delivered both of my children and was professional, compassionate, and definitely made me feel confident in her abilities. I would definitely recommend her.

Dr. Kwan is totally unreliable. She appears to be professional and knowledgeable but this is not the case. Went for a pap, she tells me if i do not hear from her in 2 weeks i am fine. I decided to call her 3.5 weeks later just to confirm it came back normal. Well it was abnormal with high risk hpv. if i hadnt called her clearly she wldnt have called me. She has her assistant explain the results to me. Obv i wld rather speak to the doctor. I express my anger abt not receivcing a phone call about this. The assistant is speechless. Now i have called dr kwan twice and she still hasnt called me back. She recommends a colposcopy. No way am i allowing her to do it. I am taking my results and having it done by a different doctor! Dont go to her!

I just went to Dr. Kwan today. She needs to learn how to understand her patients! She has a lack of communication problems. oh another thing, she thinks she wiser than you! she needs to get over it! she's only GYN doctor not heart surgeon. she's knowledgeable but not helpful.
