Excellent caring physician, very knowledgeable and kind

I would say, when I started with Dr. McKay over 20yrs ago with the birth of my first child she was excellent and kind. Office was efficient and ran on time, and I believe continues to in that respect.
My experience the last few years has not been the same. She is less patient and has been short with responses. I rarely visit or call, but when I do I am looking for some medical support and empathy sometimes. My daughter is now 20yrs and is not comfortable going to visit.
I’m not sure if it was going through the stress of Covid or just family practice in general, as it is challenging.
I hope her bedside manner can improve as I do miss the kindness she once had.

I find Dr. McKay honest, knowledgeable, caring , professional and returns calls in a timely manner. I really appreciate her honesty and no bs approach.. She is respectful and she listens to me and hears what I am meaning. I am grateful to be her patient.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!! Where do I even start. She’s been my family doctor ever since I was born, she has refused multiple treatments/tests/examinations. I had strep throat one time and waited over 2 weeks for a call back for simple antibiotics as it wasent improving, when I got the over the phone appointment with dr makay she asked why I made an appointment I told her I believe I have strep then she proceeded to tell me to call the walk in clinic and hung up the phone on me, then got upset with me that I “costed her money” by calling the walk in that she told me to call. She has tried multiple times and refused to listen to my concerns about putting back on the same birth control that she put me on for over 3 years and made me have extreme stomach and period issues even after I stopped them and refused to do testing as to why it is making me feel this way. She has severely misdiagnosed my mental health and refuses to send me back to my psychiatrist, wanted to put me on benzos at the earliest age I could start taking them, has had me on 8-10 different antidepressants and doesn’t listen to my concerns when I know they are not working for me. I have stomach issues unsolved for I believe going on my 4th or 5th year, she’s made me do only 1 test said it could be “a” or “b” or even “c” and continued with im not really sure get this app that you have to buy and go on a diet (I also have an eating disorder she refuses to acknowledge I’m 97 pounds and this diet makes me eat way less then I can already manage) and that’s just the beginning currently looking for a new family doctor.

To make an appt with the lady is horrible. She's never in the office. Whenever you call you always have to leave a message. I've given them specific times for when NOT to call me since I work night shift. And they still choose to call while I'm trying to sleep. I have mentioned this many times. In the past 3 years probably since I've had her, basically she has been no help in any situation whatsoever. I went in with stomach issues, multiple times, she had me do some tests. No conclusion on anybody the tests. At the very end of it she says "well it's probably ibs but I don't really know". And that was that really. She just told me to watch me diet. Which does not help. So I've chosen not to go to her anymore. Totally and utterly useless. Also if you have any sort of mental health issues that you need help with. DO NOT go to her. She has told me directly on multiple occasions she know basically nothing about mental health. Please do not go to those dr. The only thing she's got goin for her is that she's nice to you when you're talking in person. Not to mention her secretary. Absolutely miserable.

never in office, horrible bedside manners, someone please take away this woman’s medical license. She is not qualified and will lose any important paper work then blame you!

Improved over the past few years. Now well organized. Nurse/receptionist very efficient. Good telephone followup with test results.

Had on going issue with full body hive breakout could not get an appt. for weeks. When I finally had a phone appt she prescribed a med that did nothing and then they wouldn’t let me book a follow up. Ended up calling telehealth and they paired me with a doc who prescribed something that helped and when I tried to book a follow up with. My doc she emailed me telling me I was taking money out of her pocket because I went through telehealth and threatened to deroster me. This woman is mental. She never has time for her patients and you’ll only hear from her to be bullied by her.
