One of the worst Dr’s out there. I can’t believe she’s still practicing.

I was reading some of these reviews and had to step forward with my own experience. Dr. Churcher has been my family doctor for nearly 30 years and she takes my health as seriously as I do. That being said, I can see why she might get some poor reviews from people who don't want to take responsibility for themselves or their choices. Dr. Churcher holds her patients accountable and is very honest which can make some people uncomfortable but in the end, I, my wife and my children, respect her advice, have open and honest conversations with her and feel she invests as much into our wellbeing as we do. Dr. Churcher is not a prescription pusher or work note printer. Also, I've never waited longer than 20 minutes in her waiting room and have thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic conversations with Tara out front any time the patient before me needed a bit more time. Your health is in your hands, and Dr. Churcher supports you at the same level you do.

Where do I start. I was with her for decades. Her first thing is depression and anxiety. I almost died with a rare tumour she has worked with in the past. I had ALL signs for at least 10 years and she was worried about my stretching and fish intake. After my near death experience, major surgery she continued to talk down to me and blame everything on my genetics and anxiety. I wish I left her years ago

My family had been going to her for a long time until my mom changed doctors and her new doctor found out she had hypertension on the first visit. Despite our warnings my grandmother continued to go see her. Over the last couple years my grandmother had been displaying a certain set of symptoms. Hallucinations, Confusion, paranoia, loss of memory, loss of motor function. To many who may read this this will be an obvious need for a dementia specialist. But not to Dr.Churcher who simply prescribed her anxiety meds and even when my grandma cried in her office because she could see her faculties leave her Dr.churcher did nothing. Immediately after seeing a new doctor my grandmother was given the proper referrals and went to see a dementia specialist who diagnosed her with late stages prey body dementia. It was way too late though we never got to fight for time or slow the progression we lost that chance because of this doctors malpractice. Now my grandmother lives in a memory care unit unable to string two words together. She’s gone and we never got that time to make peace or enjoy her presence just a little longer. That’s this doctors practice it’s not a question of comfort or wait times this is pure malpractice and I can only hope one day if she ever ends up in the same situation her doctor cares enough to listen.

I somehow stumbled on this site when I was telling a friend about my horrendous experiences with Dr Churcher. Read the reviews and make up your own mind, as we have freedom of choice and freedom f expression in this country. She was my doctor years ago and I'm surprised she is still practicing medicine. Don't say you weren't warned. Run.... find another doctor.... Do Not Pass "Go" ....!!!!

How is this person still practicing? Revoke her license! Rude, outdated, unprofessional.

Generally wait time is over an hour. Her staff is rude and insulting. She charges a ridiculous amount over and above for every little thing. Transfer of files is $150.
She is completely incompetent. Misdiagnosed a common problem that could have killed my child. I had to beg her to humour me to get a referral. If you don’t kiss up to her and give her complete control over your health, she belittles you and tells you that you have a “personality disorder”! Dr. Churcher is mean, out of date, and incompetent. Please, for your own health, find another doctor.

Terrible Doctor. I cannot recommend her. She is after for the money not the care of her patient. Would you believe asking $100 plus just for documentations and take note her patient has disability. Don't go to her

Tara is absolutely amazing and one of the most comforting and supportive people I have met in the medical industry but Dr. Churcher is the most arrogant, self righteous, condescending, dismissive, and least supportive doctor I have ever met in my life! I have been going to her since I was 5 years old (now in my mid twenties) and I can honestly tell you that you can never talk to her about anything because she will make you feel like a low human being! When you go to a medical professional you are suppose to be able to tell them anything and everything wrong and get help but with her you can’t say anything without being scolded and treated like you are an idiot! She thinks everyone is the same and treats them accordingly so it doesn’t matter if you are a 5 year old girl or a 60 year old man she will tell you the same cookie cutter speech of eating more fish and getting fruits and veggies into you when all you went in there for was a problem with your throat. You have to watch what you say around her because even if you aren’t talking to her and she hears something she doesn’t like then you can’t shut her up! If you are looking for a family doctor then keep looking because I wasted years going there when I should have left a while ago!
