Very to the point, knowlegeable, calm and very professional both times I saw Dr Malcolm Jones. Both Dr Jones and the clerk in the clinic made a great team.

Dr J was my primary care physician during an incredibly complicated pregnancy. As it was my first pregnancy, I was terrified - especially when they had to remove my gall bladder at 24 weeks which was a major surgery. He dealt with my preterm labour efficiently and professionally while at the same time taking the time to ensure that mentally/emotionally I was as prepared as possible. He was the one to deliver my son and while it was an emergency c-section (thankfully he was quick to diagnose a prolapsed cord and rushed me to ultrasound HIMSELF as well as to the OR - when he felt the nurses weren't moving fast enough, he took over and prepped me himself as well) - he still maintained a positive attitude with me to keep me reassured. He even used a sense of humour (throughout my pregnancy we had a great rapport because he knew the best way to keep me from getting stressed was to make me laugh).

Dr Jones performed surgery on me a few months ago and I was very happy with his professionalism, caring manner, gentleness, and the utmost efficiency setting things in motion regarding the urgency with which the surgery had to occur. He was forthright with the information I needed to hear, without being an alarmist. I would definately see him again if the occasion arises.

I saw Dr Jones to treat my endometriosis and was told by him that I could not have endometriosis due to the fact that I sucessfully concieved a child even though I had previously had a laperoscopy that determined that I had endometriosis. He told me to keep taking the pills that I was currently taking as it was probably normal cramping. I got a second opinion and lo and behold a second laperoscopy revealed that not only do I have endometriosis but severe adhesions. My diagnosis and proper treatment was postponed due to the time it took to get into his office then get into another gynocologist who is very understanding of my pain and condition. That is very real.

Dr. Jones performed a tubal ligation on me in 1998. After the surgery I bled as he told me I would (for 6 weeks), the problem was I continued to bleed. I went back to him repeatedly and after three years he finally did a ultrasound of which he said everything was fine. I continued to bleed frequently and after a total of five years I requested to see a female Dr, someone who understands what its like to bleed for more than seven days a month. I saw the Dr. and found out that the ultrasound showed I had endimitriosis. Within four months of seeing the Female Dr. I ended up having a hysterectomy. I would not recommend Dr. Jones to my worst enemy.

Dr. M. Jones gave me exceptional care - I had a hysterectomy in March 2004 and developed a DVT 10 days later which happened on a weekend - as soon as he heard from my family Dr. what had happened he was in contact with me - made a house call on his day off 3 hrs after he heard about my condition and when he came he had his wife with him and she waited in the car while he cared for me. On that day he had arranged 10 days of home nursing care and a lung scan within the 3 hours. Thankfully nothing further developed from this blod clot although I am still on blood thinners - 3 years later.

I found Dr. Jones to be extremely rude and disrespectful. I had a pelvic exam in hospital due to some spotting during my 3rd pregnancy at week 36. I actually felt like I was raped he man handled me so hard. I was left bruised and humiliated. You see he was upset that I had chosen a midwife to care for me during my pregnancy and delivery as oppose to an MD which my family MD did not do obstetrics. He said I was stupid and that I was putting my life and that of my baby's at risk my not using a MD. I should have filed a complaint but did not as the added stress was not worth it. Perhaps he has learned from this because I did phone his office and complained to the receptionist of how I was treated.
