Some of the staff is quite rude, and there is usually a wait, but even so it is well worth it for us. Dr. Segal is so caring and knowledgeable, and she's not patronizing, as some doctors can be. She is very open to questions and discussions about my child's care. We are limiting our daughter's vaccinations, and although she consistently gives her views and encourages at least a select few of the vaccinations, she does not make me feel like a bad parent if I make a decision that goes against her advice. She knows that my husband and are also intelligent people (just like any doctor) who can look over the available information and make our own informed decisions. She also is open to communicating with our naturopath so that everyone is on the same healthcare "team."

She if often running behind, but well worth the wait! She runs late because she is very thorough, doesnt rush you out the door and answers all questions. She is the most loving DR I have ever seen...kisses my baby's toes, and is very gentle. She has a lot of patience with nervous toddlers and is able to distract them through play to finish her exam. She is a HUGE supporter of breastfeeding and natural parenting. She is supportive of all our parenting choices, including delayed/selective vaccinations. In fact, she bought the book I was reading so she better understood what I was learning so we could discuss it together. THAT impressed me! She even offered her home number in case of emergency! She says hello to the kids before the parents and truly respects them. She is what I would call an Attachment Parenting Dr! She also totes around a huge basket of toys for the kids to play with...they really enjoy that! I have kids who range from 10 to newborn and she's wonderful with them all.
