This man claims to be a Doctor but is a sleezy narcissist who is dangerous. I was sick with severe bronchitis, fainted in the clinic and they didn't pack any diabetic crash packs, juice or candy. Then he tried to shove Adavan into my mouth.I said "No! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!!!??? I DONT NEED FRIGGING ADAVAN I need an antibiotic! He pinned me down and shoved it against mouth. I was already sick, hadn't eaten and his forceful assaulting treatment was nothing short of criminal. I fought him and then hyperventilate and my muscles seized up. It was only at that point that he snapped out of his aggression. He gave me a bag to breathe in and wrote the prescription. Because of Bill 36 I feel safe enough to write this. Crappy horrible doctors like this were protected for so long no more.
I went straight to Shoppers on Denman to get my prescription and he gave me 1000mg dose to take every 4 hours when it should of been 250mg every four hrs. The Pharmacist was outraged because apparently Dr. French doesn't know how to write prescription. They actually called his office and told him his mistake. Then to me said " he does this too often". Can you believe it!!! Well he needs to have his license revoked and we all need to file a class action civil suit against this despicable sorry example of a human let alone a doctor!
Anyone writing a good review is being paid. Bill 36- suspend and fine this lousy horrible human immediately!!!

The worst doctor in Vancouver. He prescribed the wrong dosage for my medication. Good thing that I went to another doctor.

The worst ‘Doctor’ I have ever visited. A truly horrible man. Condescending, rude, mean and a nasty piece of work. I’m surprised he has a license to practice. A disgrace to health care professionals. As you can tell from the other reviews, the common sentiment is he is a horrible man and a terrible doctor. Bravo to those people telling the truth. In fact he shouldn’t be called a ‘doctor’, it’s an embarrassment to real doctors. STAY AWAY.

My first experience with this unkept Tall Doctor, he truly needs a Haircut of his very thin Long scruffy Hair….Dr. French saw me sitting there in the Clinic way before my appointment date as Handi-Dart pick me up too early and this Doctor had no one in his Office, and knew I was his Patient, I told the staff it was my first time out by myself for over a month, and I had been sick and bed-ridden for a long time. He was even late calling me into his office ten minutes later than my scheduled! I was so upset. He sat me down and told me his name…looked at my file and said Without looking at me…he kept his head down, and told me he prescribes Opioids to no one, for no reason. He never once looked me in the eye, I got up and left immediately…That is why I give him a bad review, for his bad behaviour mostly, and because I am sick and he obviously could care how long I had to sit and wait for this horrible human being! He disgusts me! Rude, unkept and way too old to be practicing medicine over 75 years old! Zero if I could give French that!

EXCELLENT! He is a wonderful doctor. Very down-to-earth, respectful, knowledgeable, and patient. After Dr. Marc Abbey was no longer practicing I couldn't find a family doctor for me, my husband, and my toddler. Dr. French has come to us as a true blessing. He did a full checkup on my toddler, something no one had done since he was just a newborn. He made us feel confident our toddler is in good health, he took his time to measure him from head to toe, did his eye examination, tooth examination, listened to his heart and lungs, checked his motor skills, use of language, etc. He also checked his passport immunizations. He made us feel very comfortable as a family and he truly cared for each one of us. Thank you Dr. French!

Something is very wrong with Dr French. He is abusive, mean and absolutely horrible to deal with. Why he is allowed to practice medicine is a mystery. Do not go see him unless you're absolutely desperate.

Worst doctor ive ever seen. Very condescending and not supportive at all. When i stated im mentally not well and need time away from my hogh stress job his reply was “or what?” My jaw almost hit the floor. If i was a suicidal person that is just so not an okay response.

I am in awe with how horrible of an experience I just had with Dr. French. I went to his office as I’ve been feeling mentally unstable and anxious and depressed and he essentially told me that there’s nothing he could do. I said I’m gonna need a little bit of time off of work to which he replied “or what will happen?” And I was so jarred by his response that I had no idea how to even answer. I was told that there would be no way to provide me with any help because there was no history of mental health issues on my file. To which I replied isn’t me reaching out right now a mental health issue and shouldn’t you be able to help me as a doctor? To which he smugly replied in a condescending manner “ i’m not responsible for your mental health“ . I am not only a palled I am horrified at the way this “doctor” handled a mental health concern. Do not see this doctor if you possibly can. He is old he doesn’t know what’s going on and he is clearly only there to make money. Useless person.
