On April 9th 2014, I was homeless, my family had given up on me, and I was suffering from full blown mania, psychosis, and bipolar disorder. I was brought to the residential treatment facility in which Dr. Axelson was my doctor. Through some adjusting of my meds, patience on his behalf within one month I was beginning to feel relief from my symptoms. It was a 90 day program. After 90 days of being overseen by Dr. Axelson he recommended a safe living arrangement the was supervised. After 6 months there and extensive therapy I returned to live with my sister. Had it not been for Dr. Axelson's knowledge and expertise God only knows where I would be now! I am living a full life still using the type of medicine he originally prescribed. Dr. Axelson saved my life! Thank you!

This doctor should have his license revoked. Misdiagnosed me and I and I am sufffering for it. Just wants to put you medication and no empathy what so ever. This whole practice is a train wreck. Go to someone who has a better reputation.

Diagnosed me with ADD within 10 minutes. Never follow-up or managed his CRNP. As a result, damaged my body due to medication malpractive. Do not go here - they will kill you by a slow death, as I am experiencing.

Took my son there and diagnosed him with ADHD within 10 minutes of meeting him put him on medication. The following visits he had his back to us and barely turned from his computer to look at my son. We continued to struggle and years later found out from another psychiatrist that my son actually has borderline personality disorder which is quite severe. Axelson couldn't have been more wrong.

I was reluctant to make an appointment with a psychiatrist, but I am glad that I made one and became Dr. Axelson's patient. He's a great psychiatrist who listens to a patients problems, but I'm most impressed with his medical skills (neuro and internal med). Dr. Axelson has made a positive impact on my life because he is a skilled medical doctor who is also a great psychiatrist.

I had a bad experience with Dr Alan Axelson. Seemed that he was just trying to waste time until the appointment was over. Bill for 50 minutes and be done. Don't trust him. Thats my two cents...

I recently saw Dr. Axelson for the first time and found him to be very professional and and easy to talk to (not all psychiatrists are, go figure). His staff is friendly and communicating with the providers is easy (they actually return phone calls). I didn't like self-referring myself to a psychiatrist, but it was a good thing that I did. And he treated me well and didn't make me feel like an idiot.
