I believe this doctor is now working out of Port Perry and what a Pompus and rude pretty much accused me of trying to score antibiotic like they were Narcotics. he dismissed every concer I had didn't check me out at all blamed it all on it being a virus even though I was on predesone last week and still not better. if he is working a walk in don't bother going cause you will leave it tears like I did yesterday out of pure frustration.

I went to this doctor once and never went back. He was pompous and rude. I had an ongoing throat infection, and he could not see the problem. I told him that I could feel the discomfort in my throat, to which he replied "well maybe there are aliens living in there" with a smirk. I left with no solution. Went to another doctor a month later, was diagnosed and problem fixed. This happened many years ago, and I have never forgotten it, as it was completely unprofessional and just very bizarre. Guess that was how he thought he could talk to a teenage girl. And judging by the comments below, he seems to have a lack of respect for females in general.

If he is the " Dr. on call" at a walk in clinic, and you're hoping to get anything to help a respiratory tract infection, forget about it. He dismisses every symptom as a viral infection (which is absurd) simply to avoid prescribing "un-necessary" antibiotics. I suffered with bad lungs and breathing all my life and know when I'm in trouble. Wheezing like the Exercist, and he says.. Lungs sound clear? Gimme a break! I had to go to the Hospital to get the treatment I needed, which could have been avoided had he just given me appropriate treatment.

I found his bedside mannar to be lacking. During the one and only pap I ever had with him (years ago when I lived in Sudbury), he commented on my legs saying they looked Norwegian. I didn't feel comfortable to have him commenting on my body like that. Then when finished the pap, instead of giving me a kleenex (from a box beside him) he instead gave me a rough paper towel. He then just stood there and I finally asked him if he could give me some privacy to wipe myself and get dressed.

Incredible doctor. This man was top of his class at Queens. He knows everything there is to know about general medicine. Although he has an enormous amount of patients for a GP in sudbury. To the people that said poorly of him above, not everyone has a pleasant experience with a doctor. To the lady who had an issue with unprofessional comments regarding her breast examine: he's a father of two teenage boys and two girls, I'm sure he's heard every boob joke in the book.

In my previous rating of Dr. Robert Clendenning, I mentioned that he was charging OHIP twice, I did not mean to say that he in fact did charge OHIP twice, but there has been other doctors accused of this (Not Dr. Robert Clendenning). I do not have any proof of this, and retract my earlier comments. My only concern is why my health card number was required?!?! when the appoinment was solely for my baby.

Connects well with patients. Very personable and a great sense of humour while being empathetic and supportive. Relies on patient's judgement and participation in the diagnostic / treatment process. Respects the patient as a person. Clearly cares about patients and his work. Up to date on medical information. gives the patient all the time that is needed without squandering his professional time. Good time management. Is very thorough. I trust his judgement, competence and commitment to me as a patient. He likes his work. His receptionist appears to be overworked, but not sure if it is her ability to manage the workload or the volume of work is too great.

The receptionist is a bit aloof but if you are pleasant to her, she will go the extra mile for you. She does play messages out loud and this is completely inacceptable. Dr C often makes people wait but that's because he takes time with those who need it. He can be blunt but also very kind. With a high caseloaod he can't possibly recall everyone's profile but he does take the time needed with each patient. Patients also have to take some responsibility and that includes being informed. He is reasonable re: meds except for wanting to put everyone with a slighted elevated cholesterol level on Lipitor. This is tiresome and seems out of proportion to the actual risk. Re: inappropriate with women He has made some strange comments to me but I take this as part of his quirky sense of humour and perhaps a way of managing his own discomfort - it does not feel sexual. In sum, he's not perfect and is a bit of a character, but he's essentially a decent human being who tries to do his best.
