Been seeing Dr. Garrey since the beginning of my pregnancy, can't recommend him enough! If only I wasn't switching to see a midwife, I would definitely keep seeing Dr. Garrey.

Dr. Garrey was on the on-call OB at the hospital during my labour, so I don't have a huge knowledge base on much conversation: With that said, the internal assessment was unnecessarily rough, water breaking proceedure that I'm still trying to block out. I'm still angry that in the last 10 minutes where he showed up for my birth, that he told me "You're being rediculous" because I was screaming so loud. How about some reassuring words to woman in final birth instead of demeaning comments? I wish he wasn't part of my birth experience and trying to block him out of my memory.

He delivered my first child via a c-section due to my "high risk" pregnancy. During the appointments everything seemed fine. However during the c-section it became a scary situation. First of all it took a few tries to get the epidural right. During surgery I hemorrhaged (witnessed by husband, apparently my blood all over the floor), the baby was "stuck" even though a vacuum was used. The epidural begun to wear off while I was being stitched back together and I was put under completely. Apparently my blood pressure went up very high and the staff were concerned. Then I couldn't wake up, which was a concern. While unconscious I was under observation for almost 8 hours post-partum. Subjected to x-rays while unconscious because the staff feared I had liquid in my lungs. Later on I had a urinary tract infection due to the catheter. I was put on antibiotics and pain meds. I developed a severe rash due to the anesthetics. I was never given any straight answers from him or his secretary.

Dr. Garrey wasn't my OB throughout my pregnancy, but was the attending OB at the hospital during my induction and emergency c-section. He did a fabulous job, not only in making a quick call to do a c-section (and saving my baby's life), but also in the operation itself. I was up and walking fairly quickly, without much pain, and the stitches are amazing, barely visible. Dr. Garrey was very professional, but also compassionate, and made me feel like I was in competent hands. Thank you Dr. Garrey!

I met Dr. Garrey after I was admitted to the maternity ward. He was very kind and gentle and put me at ease. I liked him much more than my own OB and was pleased that he delivered my baby. Thank you Dr. Garrey!

Had a complicated birth because of the size of our son. He got the baby out with foreceps. With any other Obs/Gyn we would have had to have a C-section. Thank God for this man.

Dr.Garrey is a brilliant doctor and was so very helpful throughout my entire pregnancy. When the time comes to have another baby, I will be excited to have him as my doctor. He was honest, kind, professional, and above all, knowledgeable. I couldn't have been happier with the service he gave our family. He was able to openly answer each of our questions, put our concerns to rest with information and background support, and understand where I was coming from with each issue. He does his reserach and follows through with what he offers. I would fly back to BC to have him deliver my babies if I ever moved.

Doctor Garrey's receptionist is rude, incompetent, and impatient. If you don't like your job or have trouble communicating, maybe you shouldn't work as a receptionist who is around pregnant women all day?! We waited 1hr half to be seen, the Dr had a very nice manner, but he didn't listen to the infomation given. His receptionist called me and harrasted me for not calling her back the same day and demanded I convince my partner to get genetic testing, unrelated to the baby, as it's my responability as a mother. I work for a law firm, and am considering taking legal action for harassment.

Dr. Garrey gave me the wrong diagnosis about my unbon son. I had to go to the U.S to find out that he was wrong. I could not trust him anymore after that that i have to deliver my son in the U.S.
