Dr Ritland has don 3 back surgerys an 1 on my neck when I crushed 3 verysbrea in neck on an atv. I'm 76 yrs old can do 50 push ups, walk 10 miles while hunting. The last back surgery I could not walk within 24 hours I walked out of the hospital with no pain medicine. Dr Ritland did back surgery on my wife. 6 months later she walked 6 miles one day while hunting with me. Dr Ritland is a quarter of an inch below God.

After treatment by another surgeons with no relief, I thankfully, was referred to Dr. Stephen Ritland. He was able to fix the problems created by my previous surgery and eliminate my severe back pain. He did not push me into surgery, but told me to come back when I felt I was ready for surgery. He did explain the stresses on the spine and risks of surgery. Dr. Ritland basically gave me my life back.

I had surgery several years ago and am still in pain. Some of this is from my doing too much too soon (which resulted in more damage above the area of surgery). The doctor was so confident in his work that he neglected to point out how it would place more stress on the area above the work. When I hurt that area a month after surgery, he did not want to consider it as a problem, and I felt, he down-played my requests for help. In the end, I felt like a source of income.

Dr. Ritland has operated on my spine four times and totally relieved my pain and loss of feeling. The first surgery was five fusions in my cervical (neck) spine. I went from nearly totally disabled to feeling like life was worth living again. I consider Dr. Ritland a miracle worker! Not only is he a terrific doctor, but also a very nice person.

The Best spine surgeon in US. Has developed a minimally invasive approach that goes between back muscles rather than cutting them. Remarkably small incision, very little pain and SHORT recovery time. I had surgery on a Thursday and was back at work the next Monday. Absolutely the best spine surgeon for patients with severe back pain that haven't been helped by other surgeons. Very knowledgeable in training other surgeons. This is the doctor that other doctors and nurses come to for treatment. I wouldn't let any family or friend see anyone else.
