Dr Lorne Irvine is the worst doctor I have ever come across. Patients beware of this doctor.

Dr Irvine has been my GP for 7 years and I find him very understanding. I've got a lengthy medical history with a cornucopia of medical problems Dr Irvine from psychiatric, asthma, severe ED issues, low T and then some. He has been very good to me and if there is anything urgent he is right on it. I like him as he doesn't over prescribe hard core pain killers unless warranted. I've had many surgeries and Dr Irvine has always prescribed very adequate pain relief. It's good he doesn't hand out duplicate prescriptions like candy. I've read other comments about him and it seems those who complained the most were pleading for pain killers and expected him to drop everything for a non urgent matter. He's very good with referrals too as well as any paperwork to be done. He doesn't hide things from me either he allows me to see his computer screen and if I see something I want more info on he will click on it and read it with me. It seems others complaints don't match my experiences. If those people want the care they want (high expectations) why don't they just pay out of pocket and see a doctor in the USA to get whatever narcotic they desire to free up appointments for those not drug seeking.

This doctor should not even have the title given to him. He is awful at his profession and he's just a terrible person in general, he was my family doctor for years and he was always condescending towards me, and like someone already stated he never takes his patients seriously, he assumes that you just made up your symptoms.. You have to push every issue with him, he will not do it out of his own good will (because he has none), I was the one always asking for tests to be done, always asking for referrals because I was in pain so much of the time (all without any med's or painkillers, I did not want them) and he still was skeptic about my needs, he just no longer cares and should get out of the business before he unintentionally kills someone.

Dr Irvine is a reprehensible doctor. I would never refer even an enemy to him. He has done nothing for my family. He has awful bedside manner; he rushes through appointments and seems insulted by your symptoms. He acts as if they are being imagined. Awful doctor.

I reviewed the other 19 ratings -found them generally quite accurate. The doctor is friendly. He often appears skeptical or only slightly interested in problems. However, he is willing to refer to a specialist or arrange for tests. A safe solution if he doesn't know the answer. Has been my physician for about 20 years, but only because I'm not allowed to change. Discovered my daughter was sent to him - this was upsetting until she got specialists involved.

I enjoy the rapport I have with Dr. Irvine. He is respectful and friendly. Does not shy away from referring me to a specialist when necessary.

As far as I'm concerned this guy should be out digging ditches somewhere. Do not go to him if you have an auto or work related injury. Not only will you not receive any medical help, he will accuse you of faking your injury. He plays this game routinely with patients. Funny how the head of orthopedic surgery at Van general had quite a different view...

Dr. Irvine had been my doctor for a couple years. He disregarded my health problems as nothing and would also look at me as if I was a complete weirdo who was making the fact that I had a bleed ulcer up! He then later refused to seem as a patient all of the sudden out of nowhere. It seems to me that Dr. Irvine only like's old people. He should just become an old people doctor and stop making everyone else feel like crap!

Dr Irvine is a good GP he has taken upon himself to look after my psychiatric meds as I don't currently have a psychiatrist. That's a huge responsibilty. He is trustworthy, He listens very well and is a gentle man. He explains things well to me. I can understand him as I speak medical jargon well and we see eye to eye.
