Dr. Zadegan implanted coronary stints in Ms. Tighe, and she bled to death in the Critical Care Unit while attended by many physicians. See Santa Barbara Court case 1341208: On October 8, 2008, defendant Zadegan took her to the catheterization lab at SBCH for placement of a stent in a coronary artery. The following morning she nearly fainted and had low blood pressure. An angiogram reflected bleeding. Dr. Art Lee found two sources of bleeding, one of which Dr. Robert Wright determined was caused by the arterial puncture at the time of the catheterization, while the cause of the other bleeding source was unclear.
