Dr. Behmer is wonderful! The minute he walked in to examine me, I felt at ease because of his gentle personality. Helping people is not only his profession, but also his calling. He did “minimally invasive” bunion correction 2 weeks ago and I am recovering well. He was highly recommended by a friend who had both feet done by him more than 20 years ago, and has been pleased with the results.

I finally got in to see a different podiatrist as I'd lost faith in Dr. Behmer in Huntsville. When my new doctor, Dr. Murphey of Tullahoma, read the surgical report, he told me the spur removal was never necessary--just a way to charge more money. He was aghast that Behmer performed the surgery in his office rather than in a surgical room. The old doc didn't perform the plantar fasciitis surgery correctly and might have possibly done nerve damage. I go in for an MRI if my insurance will pay for it.

The surgery was performed in May and my foot hurts worse now than it did before Behmer got ahold of my foot!

I shoulda woulda coulda got a second opinion but Behmer came highly recommended by a friend. Found out she didn't mean Behmer. It was his partner she thought she was referring me to. Come to find out, Dr. Murphey has corrected foot issues for quite a few patients of both of those podiatrists. I shoulda woulda coulda got a second opinion.

Dr. Behmer is an AMAZING Podiatrist. He was nice and answered all my questions without making me feel "dumb" about me being so clueless. My first visit was to get ingrown toenails removed, the procedure went smoothly, and my recovery time was so fast; with very little pain. I went back to Dr. B a few years later to get surgery on my bunions. I couldn't believe what little scaring I had, and how great my foot looked afterwards. There was pain after, but not as much as I expected. I will continue to be a loyal patient of Dr. Behmer's. I would recommend him to anyone with any type of foot pain!

Very bad experience.Dr told me I need surgery, because a painful "callus"I had on the bottom of my foot, apparently my arches are sacking and I need my tendons cut!!!So glad I got a second opinon somewhere else. All I had was a very deep plantar wart, which was removed by my podiatrist at Sports Med.Suffered 6 month because of this false diagnosis.Well I guess I am lucky cause I didnt have the suggested sugery ,which would have really messed my foot up,according to my current podiatrist.
