Dr. Ing Tan-Wilson
Ratings for Dr. Ing Tan-Wilson
terrible doctor.. she is judgemental and has refused me two different referrals. She has no understanding of mental illness- dismisses so many concerns and is very offensive in the things she says about personal matters.

My mother was with her for over 10 years due to Dr. Tan-Wilson failing to listen and not looking into the problems my mother was telling her about she has now passed away. My family had an autopsy done only to find out that had Tan really did her job my mother would still be here. My mother was going in at least once a week about the same problem and all Tan did was give more medication never sent her to a specialist just more and more pills to the point that my sister and my self thought maybe it's all in my mothers head. But what the autopsy revealed was shocking to think that she is still in practice. Please do not go to her she is the reason why my mother is not here today after 10years of dealing with this doctor. She should not be able to practice anywhere and should be investigated for malpractice. My mother was only 57 years old.

Dr Tan-Wilson has all the attributes needed for diagnosing a patient's situation and she does so with a kind and thorough manner. Her calm and empathetic approach to any problem provides a patient with a feeling of confidence and assurance that the very best advice and assessment has been given. Her never say never persistence when even specialists could not resolve my wife's abdominal pain, resulted in the finding of cancer, thank God! Two successful operations followed.

This dr constantly puts me off and doesnt fulfill her responsibilities 4 days to renew a script receptionists tell me different things and then at the end of today i expect her to say i need an appointment which i wont get till end of next week so i am supposed to take care of two kids even if i can barely walk she doesnt pay attention to my specific needs at all which you would think would be a big part of her job

Dr. Ing Tan Wilson has been our family GP for over ten years; I have always found her to be knowledgable, patient, inquisitive and thorough. I believe that her extra efforts helped determine my wife's continual pain causes, colon cancer which regular methods failed to detect. The Dr. was convinced that my wife's pain was far from imagination so she pursued other avenues and finally the cancer was detected. Two operations since have proved successful. My personal problems expanded drastically over a five year period, continual pain in hips, legs, back, feet, toes and knees. Tan Wilson sent me through a barrage of tests and had a number of specialists look into my pain. Her patience and understanding helped me through some dark times. I highly recommend Tan Wilson to anyone looking for a Doctor that listens and then takes action.

I have had hyper tension since I was 14 years old. She refuses to believe that I actually have hyper tension and kept putting me on medications that did not help and birth control that caused more health problems then it helped. Since I was so unhealthy with these rare problems at a young age she laughed off my problems and thought they were a joke. I am 21 years old now and have seen multiple doctors and refuse to go back to see her. Anytime in between doctors where I had follow up with her she appeared to be uninterested in my new health concerns and heart pains. I DO NOT recommend going to her at all!! Very rude and unhelpful. Heart and health problems are NOT a joke especially at such a young age.

After being a dedicated patient (not by choice -- in 2004 -- thanks to the Ontario Government/M.D. Shortage in Niagara in general) of Dr. Tan Wilson's since the age of 16 - I quickly learned a few things: #1 - If you are <56 - <60 years old AT ALL, do NOT waste your time asking for this M.D. to address any and all pain concerns (even neuropathic or idiopathic in nature). #2 - Whatever the current Rx of the week is/Rx Representative treated to a good lunch that week -- Dr. Tan Wilson is quicker to appease these pharma companies by writing a prescription for that week's "Flavour-of-the-week Rx" (a.k.a. generally a re-worked pre-existing SSRI under a new name; placebo's etc) in order to keep those monthly rep incentives & free writing utensils coming in!! #3 - The *ABSOLUTE* worst thing you could ever do as an individual, or even as your OWN personal health care advocate would be to recommend Dr. Hwie Ing Tan-Wilson to ANY friends/enemies/co-workers/spouses, etc. My husband and I (he was newly re-located to Niagara at that time) niavely thought that having Dr. Tan-Wilson take him on as a patient ~officially~ that we'd be ahead in keeping our HIPA-separate health information legally apart from one another while "in-house" on paper-charts in the reception area -- but we thought wrong. For over 3 years, she believed my husband was my uncle/co-worker/insurance scammer and OUTRIGHT REFUSED to abide the Hippocratic Oath she as an MD took at some point in her professional timeline, AND ignored her FEDERAL and PROVINCIAL OBLIGATION(s) TO REPORT TO THE MINISTRY ANY and ALL potentially life-threatening (to oneself or others) comments/plans/ideas of harms. detailed plans etc, after my husband was urgently looking for follow-up (as in POST ACTIVE TREATMENT and AFTER 1 year of concurrent, successful completion in Niagara's annual/semi-annual CAHM Addiction's program with a continuation in being one of two successful "graduates" (having achieved clean/sober time between 12-18 month post-CAHM graduation in an all-male sober, living residence w/o incidence). Tan Wilson would not budge or even hint at any type of mental health referall process within Ontario.
Seeing as my husbands then social-worker was the professional who initiated that he transfer from Ontario Works to ODSP for a array of disorders or ailments, and I personally made an appointment for my husband to PHYSICALLY show up to speak with Dr. Tan-Wilson for maybe 5-15 minutes (or as per$50 OHIP approved Dr, ,Visitation monetary kickbacks for dealing with only "one issue per appointment" for 5-weeks to constantly REMIND the Dr. of when she needed to submit all the paperwork for his ODSP deadline -- even went as far as paying the Office's bogus annual payment collection of $30-$80 per patient for the MD to "fill out existing or requested forms/statements etc" as we'd been assured on 2 or 3 different visits that by purchasing our "form payments" in bulk that (a) Those paid-patient's forms/files/documents were reviewed/filled out/signed faster then someone such as myself who was unable to qualify or afford such a luxury -- often these PAID elites had their forms ELECTRONICALLY submitted/FAXed that very same day without issue. (b) When I finally phoned the Fort Erie Group Family Practice to double/triple check that hubby's ODSP package had been at least stamped as mailed on the application due date -- ESEPCIALLY with us following-up EVERY week since submitting the form. ). According to the WONDERFULLY intelligent, outgoing, and pollite office staff (/sarcasm) we were rudely (but FINALLY TOLD!) that Dr. Tan-Wilson "allegedly" did end up sending off the 2nd ODSP Pkg. ---- That was in November of 2019. Yes; I understand COVID hit and the world shut down -- as a frontline RN worker myself, I'm more than lenient when it comes to emergencies of others and having to shift around schedules accordingly.... we have NOT heard any word (good, nor bad....just legit NOTHING) about the status of this application. Figured delays due to COVID, and knew we'd eventually hear SOMETHING from Dr. Tan-Wilson, we relaxed physically and mentally up until approx 3 days AFTER I had already gotten mine.
Guess what? Not only did we never hear from the ODSP Decision Team, or from Dr. Tan Wilson herself-- I did attempt to make an appointment with her in March of 2021 - and as per usual had to DRIVE all the way from Saint Anns, ON to Fort Erie, ON due to this efficient office staff just never (legit, MAYE 2 out of 25 times) will answer their phones. When I finally made it into the office post-lockdown, yadda yadda, the receptionist sort of roller her eres at me in an annoyed manor and spoke down to me like I was an idiot for not having known my primary MD had died? Are you kidding?
