If I could leave zero stars I would. Not only does she overcharge, but god forbid you have to get your records from her after she stops taking your insurance. I had to call 3 times just to get them mailed to (they still haven't gotten here) and then they wanted to charge me to have them sent to an actual doctor. Also they never called me back after my appointment about the results of my blood work or sonogram. I've had to chase them down about everything. The staff is also completely insensitive and rude. Do not use this office unless you want to add more stress to the already stressful process of trying to conceive.

The most horrible experience with a doctor's office in my entire life. I actually liked Dr Selick and would recommend her, but her staff is unresponsive and ineffective. I was sent a bill for $1,600 for some genetic test that I was told would be covered by my insurance (a test I personally deemed unnecessary and wouldn't have never elected to pay for!), however it turns out that the office neglected to place a pre-certification. I called the insurance company who told me that a "retro pre-certification" would take of the situation. It is now a year later, I've spent $100 on faxes (since Dr Selick's office doesn't do email), constant phone calls, I've been passed from one staff member to the next (only to re-fax everything!!!) and nothing has been done.

This issue has created so much unnecessary stress in my life, and I've never dealt with a medical office that made me feel completely uncared for. Worse: I feel completely abused and helpless.

Dr. Selick has always been nothing less than professional , thorough, and courteous to me. Her staff has always been accommodating, responsive and caring. Dr. Selick was able to help me when I needed it and I had two very successful experiences with her and her practice. She sees patients in her midtown east office, which makes the experience feel personal and not as though you are being herded through a mass assembly line. She took the time with me to explain everything and reassure me when I had fears and/or concerns about my situation. She is a lovely and smart woman and a great doctor. I give her my strongest recommendation.

I have been so happy with Doc. Selick! I tried three different fertility specialists and offices before I found her and she was the nicest and most professional, as well as every single staff member in her office. She got me pregnant with my son who I gave birth to a year ago and I am now working with her on my second. She was very patient with me and took her time explaining the process, her offices are the warmest and most cheerful of all the ones I've been in and made me feel better than any of the others. I don't know why there are such bad reviews about her and I'm glad I didn't see them before or I would have missed out on a great doctor. She was trying everything to avoid surgery with me until it was the last resort, and she did everything so we don't waste my precious embryos. I can go on and on about how great she is... Most sincerely!

I am amazed at all the horrible reviews for Dr. Selick. I am not Dr. Selick's patient. I am her partner's patient. However, I had surgery and then developed a post op infection while my regular doctor was on vacation. Dr. Selick was amazing! So were all the staff - from the nurses to the front desk. They took care of everything in a kind and caring manner. Follow-up was amazing. Dr. Selick was very thorough and on top of things. Yes, over the years there have been some long waits to see the doctors in the practice. However, I know when I need to be seen, they fit me in and they spend the needed time with me. This type of practice often gets behind. A gyn who sees you on time all the time or even most of the time, is probably new or not very good. I don't like waiting, but I know things happen. I have been going to this practice for many years and have never been overcharged or had a bad experience.

Caryn Selick is a horrible doctor with the worse bedside manner I have ever seen. I never had any issues with her staff or her nurse which is a very nice person. With that being said her office is horrible and the long waits to see her is unbearable. She is chronically late so late that it doesnt make sense to be her first appt. Her attitude in the morning is equally horrible to the one in the afternoon. If your seeing her for IVF or other treatments I suggest for you to find a doctor who specializes in it as oppose to her who only works in conjunction with RMA. She is basically the middle man and the person you go for testing and blood work. RMA will then instruct her what to do next. She is just the messenger. I suggest you pay a little extra and go somewhere else for treatment. You will regret wasting your precious time by going to see her instead of someone who can treat you respect and dignity. She is a scam

OMG thsi is the worst place. I wish I had read these reviews b4 I went. never again! These people are unqualified and unprofessional. They mixed up my charts. They overcharged me. They were rude and tried to intimidate me. The doctor herself was clueless and trie dto sell me extra services. There are soooo many bad reviews about this doctor ( deservingly so) and the medical staff, they should be put out of business.

The waiting room is always packed with frustrated patients, with a minimum wait time of 1 hour. Dr. Selick is abrubt, rushed, unsympathetic and impersonal. I was also hurried through my appointment with no post procedure instructions. The nurses are rude as well. I do NOT recommend this facility!

I had a terrible experience Dr. Selick. I waited for nearly an hour, even though I purposefully scheduled her earliest appt to avoid such a long wait. Ha! Then I had one of the most unpleasant, cold, wham bam bullsh*t exams ever. The exam was rushed b/c she was so late. The doctor was put out when i bothered her to check an area of my breast that was concerning me. I mean she was in a rush after all, having mismanaged her morning, silly me for having questions. As for bedside manner...she ain't got one. As for a watch, perhaps she lost it during her last exam. Anyone ticking? Don't leave a patient waiting an hour and then rush their appt. Work on your timing doc, it is everything.
