Dr. Glenn Surbey seamed very sincere in diagnosing symptom but sadly I wasn't impressed in his professionalism. Often his service reflected a 10 min examination and limited to one complaint only kind of service. Where I really wasn't impressed was the referral for a colonoscopy and question his ethics . Why under family history he felt the importance of nothing a metal illness of my brother when I don't have a brother is frankly irresponsible. When tracing the original document to his office, it wasn't available. He's now retired .

I have been a patient of Dr. Surbey's for over 20 years. my mom switched over to him when our family doctor retired and as I started my own family he has cared for my kids and husband as well. I can not ask for more in a doctor! he is knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, thorough, understanding, he LISTENS to his patients and he truly cares about his patients health. As for Nancy, words can not even begin to describe how amazing she is! Over the years she has been there for me and my family countless times ,whether its booking us in for an emergent appointment, being an emotional support, treating my family and I like members of her family rather than patients and being a welcoming friendly face every time you enter the office. Anyone who has the privilege of having Dr. Surbey and Nancy to provide their care are extremely lucky! I could never thank them enough for the excellent care they have provided to my family and I over the years!

Been with this doctor 30 years now.I agree with many of the complaints but I have none against the secretary Nancy, she actually helps me work through difficulties dealing with the doctor-you have to know how to talk to her I guess.

The doctor himself is one with a large knowledge base and a tiny people skills base. He always rushes me out the door, tells me I can only raise two issues in an appointment , doesn’t ever sit and have a calm conversation with me and treats me like there’s never been anything wrong with me. ( I have at least 5 Chronic ongoing issues ) most of those were learned of from reading and asking to be tested or I might not have found solutions.

I was a patient of Dr. Surbey's from when I moved to Oakville as a child. Never had any major issues, so it was fine. But as I got older and began to experience weird symptoms, I found that he had no interest in helping more than the bare minimum. When I was having severe GI issues this past spring/ summer, he put me on a medicine for IBS and sent me on my way. This did nothing of course. I came back for a separate issue and when I mentioned I had been passing blood, he told me to make another appointment to discuss it! He had sent a referral for a GI, but it took 2 trips to the hospital of my own accord for my case to get any traction and fortunately the hospital doctor expedited my colonoscopy for 2 weeks later, rather than the month and a half I was told I'd be waiting otherwise. I also had a separate issue that I developed in 2013. After he sent out the tests he could think of and nothing came back, he never referred me to anyone else. It took my own investigative research and finding a specialist on my own to determine what I had. I was only diagnosed in 2018. When I told him what it was, it's like there was no "aha" moment and he just said ok, as if he has his suspicions but never shared them with me. Nancy and Eli are both great and as helpful as they can be, but you can tell that even they are frustrated with Dr. Surbey. He does the bare minimum as a physician, and you better not come to an appointment with more than one problem to address! His associated walkin clinics are also horrible, and he states that if you visit a non-associated walkin, that he will remove you from his roster. I fortunately found a new GP and can't believe that everything I put up with over the yearsfrom Dr. Surbey is not the norm amongst doctors. The only silver lining is that if you come to him with what you want in terms of tests, he'll normally give you a requisition. But you're acting as your own doctor 99% of the time in that case.

Have always found Dr. Surbey, his occasional replacements, and his secretary staff members to be people of great quality and help.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Surbey since I was a little girl, I never had a problem with him and he has never let me down in the 20 years i’ve known and gone to him ! he’s super quick so when it comes to getting vaccines and things that are uncomfortable it’s done before you can even think about it. Overall he’s a very fast and good doctor !

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Surbey’s for many years and I am now starting to feel like the patient experience has deteriorated. Nancy and the front staff are condescending, rude and difficult to book appointments through. My unsatisfactory experience is consistent with the other bad reviews I’ve read here. It is also worth noting that there is a hefty fee to leave dr. Surbey’s practice and access files in order to switch doctors. New patients beware!
