Inappropriate with a God complex; should not be practicing medicine.

I went for Dr Patterson one time and I will NEVER came back. The worst experience I had. He was so rude during the exame, didn't put lubricant , look like he was angry. I crayed. I asked his secretary if he is rude like that all the time. About 10 minutes later he left voice message on my cell asking for apology .

I feel that I must leave this review for anyone considering using Dr. Patterson. He shares an office space with another OBGYN (Dr. Konsker) and they cover for each other when the other is not available. For example when they are on vacation. My wife went into labor on New Years eve and her doctor (Konsker) was out of town. Dr. Patterson met us at the hospital and informed us that he would be delivering for us. We were aware of this arrangement and we were fine with it. It ended up being the worst experience for us, especially for my wife. I don't know if the Boca Regional Hospital staff was in holiday mode that day, but they were lousy that day. The nurse was not attentive and the anesthesiologist was not attentive as well. We saw here once when she administered the Epidural which didn't have any effect whatsoever because she punctured the dura requiring a blood patch three days later. My wife kept asking for the anesthesiologist who never returned after the first visit. I will save those details for another review. Dr. Patterson informed my wife that she was fully dilated and couldn't receive anymore epidural and told her that she is going to have to push through it naturally. Although it is not his fault this occurred during his second check up with her three hours after his first and after asking for the anesthesiologist for 2.5 hours which the nurse seemed to care less and the anesthesiologist never showed up at all. While I was helping my wife push through her contractions Dr. Patterson was in the hall on his cell phone speaking to his secretary about rearranging his appointments. I know this because my father was in the hall while he was on his phone. As the contractions became very close, 30 seconds long and 20 seconds apart, He was still on his phone. I began to see the crown of my daughters head entering the birth canal and finally the nurse went into the hall to tell him that he might want to get in there. When he finally did come in he made the decision to perform an episiotomy while he started to gown up. He ordered Lidocain from the nurse in order to numb the area. The nurse began asking questions pertaining to the amount that he wanted. This was all taking place within seconds as from the time he came into the room to the time my daughter was born only 45 seconds max elapsed. My wife never received any lidocain because it was too late and Dr. Patterson performed the episiotomy while my wife had to feel that pain. She said it was the worst pain of her life, worse than the delivery itself. She had a non functional Epidural and was essentially cut with scissors without any numbing agent. I watched these events take place right in front of me. I saw the look on the nurses faces and they were trying to contain the horrified look that they were protruding. Thank god my daughter was came out without any complications and was a healthy newborn. We are blessed. Dr. Patterson displayed a very very poor sense of time management , skill, and empathy in this matter and acted as if he had to cut my wife without choice. I understand the need for the episiotomy, but he never owned up to the fact that his phone conversation was more important and that he screwed up. No apology or sense of empathy at all. He seemed like he felt good about what he did which was nothing but be incompetent. I do not know about his pre natal care or office staff, but I would highly recommend seeking another OB before ever going to this guys office.

Dr Patterson and staff were accessible and professional throughout both of my pregnancies. I also like that he is the only doctor so you know you will always see him. I called him on a Friday night at 3am because my water broke and he called me back right away and met me at the hospital. I would highly recommend Dr Patterson and his office!

I just finished my second pregnancy and Patterson was there every step of the way. He is always available at any time for questions and support. He is able to accommodate appointments with short notice. His staff is always ready at the time of your appointment and there's no wait time. He explains step by step each process . After the delivery he followed up on me and the baby couple of times which was a very nice gesture.

Extremely knowledgeable doctor. He really took his time with me. I even called him on the phone that evening and he spent 1/2 hour answering more of my questions that I had forgot to ask. Very patient. Also has a wonderful staff.

Dr Patterson is a fantastic doctor! He is extremely attentive and always ready to help promptly. I never wait more than just a few minutes for my consultations, the staff is friendly and efficient and "humane", which is something a lot of other doctor offices lack. Not to mention he has both spanish and portuguese speakers on staff to better accommodate patients that might not speak english. He has delivered both my sons and they were both great experiences. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Patterson and his Staff are very professional and caring! I had a weekend medical incident and Dr. Patterson returned my call promptly (within a couple of minutes), took care of my situation, and saved me from having to check into the ER!!! Furthermore, Dr. Patterson then called me a couple of times during the weekend to follow up. This, you don't find nowadays. I strongly recommend him.
