He found out what was wrong with my son when no doctor in canada was able to figure out what was wrong. Dr. Refetoff was the first doctor to diagnose my son with a very rare genetic condition, cause by a mutaion in the thyroid hormone transporter gene.My son was one of the first boys diagnosed with this condition in the whole world. I have been in contact with doctor Refetoff personally over the years since then and he has become the medical director for the support group for my son's rare genetic condition. He is a very friendly, knowledgable, and helpful doctor. I greatly appreciate what he has done for our family.
