Terrible doctor only interested in pushing his remedies for your problems instead of listening to your reactions to medications that he has prescribed. I would never see him again

He has been my doctor for nearly 3 years. Beyond numerous experiences with him being emotionally out of line (yelling and aggressive behavior) and uninterested in the many things I needed to share with him, during our 10 minute or less window of time, Dr. Hutto is consistent in his inattention and disinterest as my psychiatric care provider. I attempted to address these issues with him in the past and the effort was ultimately a waste. He tends to view and treat me as a patient who is not as important as his other patients. Perhaps he feels I am undeserving of him as my psychiatrist. These are the behavior indicators I strongly experience when I am with him at his office. I discussed this with my family and friends over the years, they dislike him but I have tried to solve the issues to build a good doctor/patient relationship. I told him from the beginning that I wanted to build a long-term relationship with him as my doctor. I cannot express strongly enough my warning to other patients in need that this man is not here to help you. After multiple years of seeing him I can assuredly inform you of that fact. Perhaps he only wants to be seen by a certain sect of society, one that befits him as prestigious. That I can only speculate on. However, for the average man or women in need this doctor is going to spend 5-10 minutes saying nothing to you while you, and eventually desperately, try to explain what it is that you need his help with only to repeatedly rush you out of the room when he's done listening and without a single word of advice. Much less a paragraph of doctoral analysis and caregiver's empathy. Getting a prompt appointment is around a thirty-five through seventy-five day wait if you miss their schedule, promptness for scripts you need to function is not their priority, the staff is hit or miss, I don't know what he thinks my diagnosis is. He never has gone over them with me. Fortunately I know what some are from other, more professional doctors I have seen in the past. He spends enough time with you to make it look from the outside in that we had a conversation. Ten minutes six times a year is not enough to achieve help. There is zero follow up after the visits. I did not know that doctor offices did such a thing... Detached and unprofessional. These two words best describe him as a caregiver in a field where consummation of the practice is needed to effectively reach those in need. This is my review, though more so a warning to any potential patients. Good luck and take care to all.

Attempting to control and improve psychiatric issues with meds should be done in a more accessible manner. Hope was my aspiration. Dr Hutto instilled hopelessness instead My veterinarian is much more accessible and compassionate

I have been seeing Dr. Hutto for the last six years & I honestly don't know what I would do without him. He is the best doctor I have ever had- whether it be a psychiatrist or a doctor in another field. He genuinely cares about his patients & their welfare, but not only the patient, their families/support system also. He may be writing a lot, or on his computer, which I think is what people may be referring to in previous reviews as him having "no bedside manner" or being "cold," but he is absolutely listening to what you are saying & taking it all in to consideration when it comes to your treatment. I would recommend Dr. Hutto to anyone who TRULY wants help. I couldn't be more thankful for having him as my doctor for the past six years & for his staff also- all of whom are extremely friendly, polite, & kind. He is the best doctor I could have ever imagined & I will never be able to thank him enough for what he has done for me.

Make my comments detailed, helpful and polite? Are you kidding me? Board certified with decades of experience did nothing to help me and the horror story this doctor put me though. He believes in ECT,yes electroshock therapy more than believing in medicine. He caused my divorce by putting me through ect's as a first line of treatment, he never helped me deal with my mothers hoarding problem and what that did to the family, I have gone through years of hell and I usually would not blame it on someone but I find it really hard not to blame him, he is horrible with medicine.
