Dr.Zapolski was and is my doctor for the past 20 years. He is very knowledgeable and very attentive. I hope he doesn't retire for a long time. He is the best. Please do not retire for as long as you can. 🙂

I have been with Dr. Downer Zapolski since I came to Canada in 1998 and he has always been a great listener and has helped me with whatever ailments and followed up with me afterward. I am very glad to have him as my Doctor! it was easier to see him and the staff was better when he was at Hampton park, but the staff at the trainyards I believe do there best considering the larger turnover of patients. I have had many Asthma issues since childhood and he has always helped me with any new medication and suggesting new types and sending me for studies to help control it better.

I had Dr. Downar-Zapolski as my family physician as a walk in when my family doctor was active. He retired in 2010. When I went back to Dr. Zapolski to ask if he would accept me back as a regular patient, he became cpmbative, yelling and asking stupid questions...that I put him in a difficult position! I had an apot. When I came to the office ..the appointment was cancelled by HIM!! That was as Hampton Park. I had been with him since being in Hintonburg at Rosemount Clinic. He has something wrong with him. He was very cordial for the Tom I had him . When I asked to go back to him.. He flipped. Perhaps because I am a Russian. Polish people hate Russians. Yet he speaks poor russian. He provided excellent medical treatment . I do not understand what happened to him. Very sad. Time to retire. Recourse in public relations obligatory for him I suggest!

Dr Zapolski has been my physician for a while and I am not satisfied.he is patient,he listens but that's about it.
I have to request tests that I think he should mention to me.The issues affecting my demographic.
He might be due for retirement or retraining.

I copied many comments of other patient because they were mostly the same. He did not take me seriously. Never calls when there are abnormal results with medical tests. He is selective. Does not want to treat some problems affecting me; I mean he could at least recommend someone else. Would a complaint to the Association of Canadian Physicians in Ontario work? Like many of you, I read a lot of Mayo Clinic and other articles on medical topics. I am not a doctor, but I am not stupid. Critical thinking makes me suspect once he bought his papers long ago from black market in when he escaped Poland. On the positive side, every other doctor there at Train yards is surprisingly much more competent. During walk-ins, I pray that I get somebody else.
