We were seeking a clinical psychologist in a custody trial against an abusive and drug medicated mother who was diagnosed with severe anxiety and extreme depression. Ellis was a disaster. Her focus was on billing. As an example after a 2 hour interview she billed in excess of 20 hours for report preparation then refused to elaborate on the drugs and physical abuse other than stating it “could” happen. After Ellis was presented with the medication bottles and prescriptions she then insisted to talk with the real MD’s and then claimed she never confirmed and needed more hours of billing. She was incapable of even referencing side effects for the medications. BTW, Ellis is NOT an MD. Ellis has a psychology degree. In our opinion she is a quack and a waste of time. This matter was reported to Georgia Board of Examiners. Suggest everyone check these records.

She is judgmental and unprofessional. She mocked people with disabilities on our first visit after telling her that one of our sons had special needs. She was not helpful to us and truly not a good fit. Would not recommend.

We stopped using Ellis after several months. The sessions were simply too unorganized and were repeats of prior one. Further, Elizabeth M Ellis is not an MD. She is a licensed psychologist and approved by the Georgia board of examiners. This claimed “MD” status seems to be further claims that are not accurate.

The worst experience. We were seeking help for our son to be more academic. Within 10 minutes she was arguing with our son and the later with us. She seemed desperate and stated we needed to pay for her entire appointment time after we walked out of her office within 10 minutes. Not recommended

We have visited Dr Ellis’ several times. She is disorganized, disingenuous and seems desperate to accept any and all types of insurance rather than to help. She seems to blame everything on others that share her office and her staff.

Took my son to Dr. Ellis because his mother and I thought he was depressed. We visited with her from late spring to mid-fall. Dr Ellis would ask one of us a question, and while that person was answering the question she would constantly interrupt to pontificate. While we support an expert therapist making recommendations or arriving at conclusions, hers weren't particularly well informed and didn't seem to come as a result of truly listening to us as a family or my son as an individual. She wasn't willing or able (not sure which) to allow us to talk through our concerns as a family or when my son was alone with her. It was frustrating for us and, we noticed, for our son, who after a few visits seemed willing to open up and talk. She ruled out depression after the third visit. After about eight visits, we stopped seeing her as we three were frustrated with her "approach" to therapy. My son attempted suicide this past November. No blame- yet why didn't she see he was truly depressed?!

Dr Ellis has helped my family for nearly 5 years now. She has done an amazing job and is VERY well-respected in our community.
