I have been seeing Dr. Chastang for a number of years. I was always impressed how he takes his time and listens to me and my concerns. My elderly mother was seeing another dotor who is well known and respected in Atlanta. I moved and taking my mother to her previous doctor was to far for me. I finally convinced her to change to Dr. Chastang. During our first meeting, Dr. Chastang was going through my mother's old records and labs and noticed she had some protein in her urine. He asked me was I aware of this? I told him no. No one had ever mentioned it to me or my mother. It had been in her urine for several years. He said we needed to find out why it was there. Long story short, within 2 weeks Dr. Chastang diagnosed my mother with a type of bone cancer called multiple myeloma. She started treatment and lived for several more years. Her cancer doctor told me if Dr. chastang had not investigated the protein in her urine , most likely she would have died before her time and would have been in and out of the hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Chastang. He is in private practice now on Johnson ferry road marietta.

I went to Dr Chastang when I first moved here. I gained weight, even after working out and eating low cal diet, had hair loss, depression, nails brittle. He only had his nurse do the weighin and blood pressure. As an internist he never took blood work, EKG, nothing! He came in told me to join weight watchers and said the signs were premenopausal (i was 37). A few years later, found another internist and discovered my thyroid was underactive, my cholesterol was dangerously high and glucose was high. I am now on medication and syptoms are finally starting to disappear! I am sad he did not do the necessary bloodwork, nor treated me with respect I deserved as a patient!

Dr. Chastang is the best! He has been my doctor also for over 15 years. As soon as I heard he was back with his own private practice, I made an appointment. I am so glad and feel much more comfortable knowing he is taking excellent care of me.

Dr. Sidney Chastang has been my doc for 15 years. He is the best! After a small break he is back and running his own practice off johson ferry rd. I just left the new office and I give them 5 stars for sure.

I was told that Dr. Chastang was no longer with Wellstar. No explanation. I have been going to him for over 13 years after he replaced the previous Dr. I'd like to find him and continue to use him as my internist. His staff has tried, but have problems - especially some of the nurses. They've been through countless EMRs as well as office managers. Chastang is practical - does not get over-excited and tries not to put you on meds or thru treatment you don't need. I'm starting to think it's Wellstar that has the problem and they need to hear from us!

Dr. Chastang has been my personal care physician for over 12 years...and I developed an excellent rapport with him along with the trust to care for my whole family. All of a sudden, he's dropped out of sight...Wellstar won't tell where he's gone and will provide no other information. I feel betrayed and am reconsidering keeping them. I only hope wherever he is that he is well and hope to someday be able to engage the practice he has joined...

Looks like Chastang may have left this practice/office. I've been going to him for 10 years and would really like to stick with him. The office he was in was bad, I agree. But he always took time to listen and has been accurate with diagnosis in all that time. Anyone know where his new office is?
