Dr Wilkie seems to get great reviews it almost doesn’t sound like the one I saw at the beginning of my cancer treatment .iI did not feel comfortable from the first encounter I had with him and during my six weeks of radiation I saw him once fir about 2 minutes and my last treatment I was supposed to see him at 11:30 but he wasn’t available so I did my last treatment and then went to see him but the nurse we would have to wait for an hour as he went to lunch I can appreciate he has to eat but when he made the appointment he should have had the courtesy to at least see me for five or ten minutes before as by this stage of my radiation I was in a lot of pain from burns to my face and neck .
I’m sure he’s brilliant but there’s a lot more involved in this profession than knowledge you have to think of the patients as well .

After a terrifying experience I came under the care of Dr. Wilke, a man of quiet intelligence. He smiles, he’s calm, unhurried, caring, quick to respond. He’s gentle, and puts your mind at ease. In five years he never changed; always the same confident, compassionate doctor. No concern of mine was too insignificant to be honoured by his time and careful explanation. I will miss meeting with Dr. Wilke, but I go forward healthy, knowing that if I need it, he will be there for me in the future.

Dr Wilkie has treated my husband twice, first for prostrate cancer , which hasn’t returned for over 10 years. The second time several years later for tongue and jaw cancer .He is very profession and puts you at ease right from the first visit .He explains in layman’s terms what the procedures will entail, what the treatment will be ,how long it will take and address any concerns we had. We are very pleased he is our oncologist and we highly recommend him .

I was referred to Dr. Wilke who was running a clinical trial for aggressive prostate cancer. I had been told that I had only about a year to live. Dr. Wilke was extremely kind and supportive both physically and mentally throughout my 2 months in the hospital. 9 years later I am cancer-free. I cannot accurately describe what a wonderful human being he is!

Dr. Wilkie was beyond helpful during my husbands treatment. From the beginning till now it has been 4 years and so far 4 years cancer free. I can not say enough about his professionalism and care and how much it meant for us to have such a caring, dedicated doctor walk with us through this process. His assistant (Alona) was very helpful and understanding through the process and we missed her at his last visit. Dr. Wilke a big Thank you from our family.

Very caring and informative. Because of him being involved in an ongoing study I received anew treatment protocol which worked wonders. I am alive and well today because of his diligence.

Dr Wilkie treated me for 5 years, beginning with chemo, radiation and the whole nine yards. Always pleasent and caring. June 2011 was my last visit to him. When he told me that further visits were not required, I asked if I had Teed him off somehow. I got the smile and laugh that had helped out over the past 5 years. Thank you Doctor.
