I was a patient of Dr, Elzinga. I know that she went on to help at the Tom Baker centre. I think that she will be an asset to those patients there. She will be greatly missed by my family. I know we will be hard-pressed to find another doctor that took the time to help her patients the way that Dr. Elzinga had done for us. I liked her sense of humor and her candor. She is missed!

I was a patient of Dr. Elzinga for 16 years and just recently found out she had closed her practice. I am now wondering where my medical file has gone...does anyone know where I can find it so my next family doctor has my history? Please help!! Thanks!

I will miss her dearly. She has been my Doctor since she first started her practice. I wish I had known in advance she was closing but I only found out yesterday she was gone. I have no idea how I will ever find someone to replace her.

She has been my doctor for 15 years and is great. I am very sad she is closing down.

Not as caring as she once was. Poor hours. Her heart isn't in it anymore and have found out she is leaving her practice (but didn't find this out from her). No referrals to new doctors will be made for her patients. Disappointing but sad to lose her as there are few doctors available.

Dr Elzinga has been our family doctor for 18 years. She is Professional first with a great sense of humour very knowledgeable, helpful and a good listener. Unfortunately the strain that the Government has put onto our Health Care system has stemmed to fewer doctors in Alberta. All of our Doctors are short handed which has put extreme stress onto their workloads, times have changed and it is very hard to get more than your allotted 15 minutes. Chris seems to be rushed, understandable and usually only wishes to discuss what brought you into her office. It not as personable which is sad. Calling the office can be frustrating with no voice mail system and the time it takes to actually get your appointment date. Finding a doctor today is not a luxury, I'm happy and lucky to have had Chris all these years and will be very sad when she decides to retire.

Staff/Office is the only downfall - No message can be left even if they cannot answer the phone during clinic hours - this is not professional. Also now that the office is a "corporation" business/money does seem to matter more ? Perhaps we should feel lucky just to have a doctor many do not. Chris herself is a wonderful doctor and person I just wish the staff were as warm

She has been my doctor for approximately 7 years. I find her extremely open, informative and collaborative. We discuss what my options are and feel very open to discussing options that I have heard of. I have a lot of allergies and she doesn't push anything on me. I love her. But, she's definitely not there enough.

If you don't ask specific questions regarding the your concern/problem no alternatives will be offered. It's left up to you to figure out different methods of treatment.
