I have been seeing Dr. Goodman for 8 years, since I was 15 years old. I really enjoyed visiting with her as she was very kind and progressive for a gyno, giving me a papsmear once I was sexually active, even though I wasn't 21, something that should be more common for gynos. However, I have been having lots of troubles with my vagina for the last 5-6 months and have been into the office almost 5 times with no real progress being made. Every single time I have complained about my vagina being itchy, and sex being painful, and that I thought I had a yeast infection. . . FOR 4 MONTHS. I am not a doctor so I don't know what is actually wrong, but I had to insist that she check for other problems, and only on my most recent visit did she take a urine sample to check for a UTI, something that now when I think about it probably should have been checked that very first time I complained about itching and burning pee and uncomfortable sex. Now I am waiting for results on a whole panel of tests, and Dr. Goodman told me to call on Tuesday if I don't hear back on Monday. I left a message with the receptionist who had no idea what I was calling about, and have not heard back yet. I tried to call again this morning, but I guess they are closed for the Holiday weekend (thanksgiving), and they have no way of leaving a message when they are closed. It is very hard to get in contact with the dr to get the info I need, like the results of my tests and the menopause cream she was going to try to order to help my 23 year old vagina that is not going through menopause. I am essentially stuck in limbo, and I thought the dr would be more helpful after I cried in her office for an hour about how uncomfortable and pained I am with this situation, as well as it being very unusual for a patient to come in and call many times about the same issue in such a small amount of time. I just want answers! I will be trying to find another gyno, Dr. Goodman is past her prime and I don't want to keep dealing with how hard it is to get in contact with her.

Dr. Kathleen Goodman, MD has been my gynecologist for almost 15 years. Unfortunately, I find myself in search of a new doctor. In September 17, 2020 I visited her offices. Like everyone, I was afraid of Covid and wanted the visit’s procedure explained. The worker over the phone, Amanda, just barked orders at me. I ignored her extremely rude behavior because I wanted to keep my doctor regardless of her unhappy and angry receptionist. I figured Covid stressed us all. I had to deal with this Amanda many more times. After preventive tests, prescribed by Dr. Kathleen Goodman, MD, at an outside clinic, my insurance called because Dr. Kathleen Goodman, MD’s office put the wrong code on the paperwork. They would happily cover the tests, but her offices had to correct their error. While dealing with my health insurance and the clinic, I encountered helpful, professional, and friendly staff. Not at Dr. Kathleen Goodman, MD’s office. The receptionist, Amanda, belittled me; this grown adult actually made fun of me! “The insurance company is only humoring you, so you go away and stop pestering them like you are pestering us.” This was one of many unprofessional lines Amanda shared over the phone calls while I tried to straighten their error. The problem has been solved, in spite of Amanda, and thanks to the wonderful health insurance and clinic staff. Amanda’s comments were so unprofessional that my health insurance insisted I reported Dr. Kathleen Goodman, MD, and her Amanda. That is what I am doing today.

Much improved staff and support team this year although we miss Elizabeth!! Dr. Goodman has the BEST bedside manner and always seems to genuinely care!! The only single drawback is the size of her waiting room, which is painfully small where patients knees are virtually touching each other, but well worth the wait for such excellent care!!

Dr. Goodman is great. Very caring, helpful, and knowledgeable. I do agree with the other comment that her receptionist could be much more friendly and helpful -- really at odds with how great the doctor is.

Dr. Goodman is a good doctor, but her staff is so unfriendly and condescending, I eventually switched to another doctor. They made my visits intolerable.
