The office staff is completely incompetent. I am a new patient and found Dr. Chou on my insurance company's website. When I made an appointment several weeks ago they told me that they take my insurance. Today I went for my appointment and filled out the preliminary paper work. When I handed them my insurance card they told me that they do NOT take my insurance, so I left. I called the insurance company as soon as I got home. The insurance company called Dr. Chou's office while I waited on hold. Turns out that Dr. Chou dropped them and hadn't informed them or me. What a waste of time, not just today but waiting weeks for an appointment only to be turned away. This is so inconsiderate and unprofessional; it shows a lack of competence and caring for their patients.

Wonderful staff but after having a mass in my ovary torsion and rupture she dismissed my hormone problems and put me on birth control, mind you I have thyroid, adrenal and lupus issues along with allergies , when we told her the BC wasn't working for me she blew me off, I eventually found out I had extremely low progesterone as my other ovary failed .

I would never recommend this doctor to any female out there. She is an extremely cold person who could care less about her patients. She does not take the time to explain any information to you and is extremely condescending. I switched doctors and it was the best decision ever. Dr. Chou will never explain what she's doing or what your results are. Awful experience!

I normally do not write reviews, but i feel like I need to let people know what a terrible experience I have had with Dr Chou. After trying for 2.5 years to get pregnant with my daughter and being told I was normal not to worry, I was put back on BC right after delivering. I believe that seriously set me back for baby #2. If she taken the time to test me, that probably wasnt best. At the time I thought scheduling an induction was good but I realize now this was only to fit in with her schedule. Fast forward to now... coming off BC, and having a chemical pregnancy followed by no period for over 100 days, and the staff relays to me that dr Chou says I SHOULD PRAY? there is no magic pill?! are you kidding me? there is zero sympathy and I was a patient of hers for years. I went somewhere else and have received amazing care, and testing to make sure everything is ok. I am shocked and appauled by Dr Chou and would never go back.

Dr Chou and her staff are very friendly. She has delivered both of my babies and I was confident in her abilities and please with the care that I received.

Great front desk, Sandy. Great nurse, Sheila. That's about it. Dr. Chou leaves me with lots of question marks. Is she truly knowledgeable? Is she really certain of her diagnoses? Is she aware that guessing isn't part of modern medicine? Does she try to get to know her patients? Is she an empathetic care-giver? My experience has been very negative. She is busy, and spend literally a couple of minutes each time with me. Impatient with me. Keeps saying "everything is normal". Old ultrasound unit that forces her to do some guessing? Luckily I have found a new OBGYN who finds out about my condition (or you can say Dr. Chou's mis-diagnosis) and is able to start treating it. Desperately seeking help? I doubt she would be enthusiastic to help you with it. The last question: "Why did I waste all that time and money to get inferior quality of care?" I give the most honest evaluation to the best of my ability.

I have been seeing Dr. Chou for about 13 years and have ALWAYS found her to be efficient, knowledgeable, and kind. When I had an ovarian dermoid (my second one), she encouraged me to remove the whole ovary since I am perimenopausal as opposed to removing just the dermoid (which I had done on the other ovary once before 15 years ago). Dermoids frequently return and typically only 2% of dermoids are cancerous, but this time around mine was! Thank God, she convinced me before the surgery to remove the whole ovary and we caught the cancer as early as we did. She has been extremely attentive, kind, reassuring, and helpful in directing me in my continuing health issues. I can't recommend her enough to anyone...just please realize that with all great doctors, their time is limited as is ours. I always go into our meetings with a checklist of questions to help save both of our precious time.

Never written a rewiew before but had such an unpleasant experience with this dr last year, I am doing it. My sister recommended her to me and says she likes her. I went to her on my lunch hour for my first (and last) visit, went back to my office, closed the door and cried. What does that tell you? I may be sensitive and used to an Ob/Gyn w/a great beside manner but that's ridiculous. She was extremely COLD, barks things at you. I see someone else took notice of all the Catholic decorations in her office. This concerned me too and I did feel this affects her treatment. I understand that being over 35 and childless, even w/o family history, increases your risk of breast cancer, but she shot this at me like a scolding. She berated me for not having brought my previous records. I gave a thorough enough history for a yearly exam. I did not bring my files b/c I wanted to be sure I liked her first. I felt scolded, judged & belittled - as though I had been sent to the principal's office!

First, I love Shelia and Linda (on staff). However, the doctor is not patient and seems to have taken on too many patients. Although I didn't ever have to wait too long, she was always short with me. The worst part of my experience was her seemingly lack of care for my pregnancy. I was in the hospital for complications and she did not visit or call. Also, she tried to get me to induce early because she was going on vacation. After delivering with another doctor, she did not visit me in the hospital despite the fact that she was home from her vacation. Finally, she failed to call me back after a number of urgent messages about mastitis.
