Biography

Jeffrey A. Sheridan, M.D., is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an active fellow with the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He served as a general ophthalmologist with the United States Air Force before joining Fishman & Sheridan eyeCare Specialists. Dr. Sheridan attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, completed his internship at the University of Hawaii, and finished his residency at Emory University, Department of Ophthalmology. A board-certified ophthalmologist, he specializes in cataract surgery and glaucoma treatment. He also performs eyelid surgery for facial rejuvenation and does the majority of the eyelid reconstruction operations for our patients who have had skin cancer. Like all of our eye doctors, Dr. Sheridan is readily available for patients in Leesburg, Eustis, and Clermont. Dr. Sheridan not only is one of the few ophthalmologists in Lake County to volunteer at a local free clinic to help those in need of eye care but has also has taken his surgical skills on a missionary trip to treat villagers in Mozambique, Africa.
