Biography

Daniel Tambunan, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician and Assistant Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at AdventHealth Orlando. He teaches new physicians and sees patients as part of AdventHealth Medical Group’s academic practice in Central Florida. Dr. Tambunan earned his medical degree and completed his residency training at the Loma Linda University College of Medicine in California. A recognized authority on dementia, thromboembolism, hepatitis and lipid metabolism, he has published works and presented lectures on these topics in multiple medical forums. He is also a clinical co-investigator for medical trials involving lipid metabolism, migraines, thromboembolism, heart failure and coronary disease. Dr. Tambunan has been recognized with the Faculty of the Year Award for his excellence in teaching new physicians.
