Dr. pushing retirement. Very kindly man, but has become a triage nurse, sending you on to every other kind of dr. without doing the basic things FPs always did. Rather than getting sent on to a bd. cert. Infectious Disease dr., he sent me to a rookie "in training" in one of the area hospitals who couldn't diagnose his way out of a paper bag. Studied his PDA for the PDR most of the time. Dr. Cohen could have done the job himself if he had put in the effort; surely would have done better. Refused to prescribe painkiller meds. for hypoxia, angioedema and exfoliative dermatitis from severe staph infection heading into septicemia with exacerbated situation of unaddressed Stage 2 urticaria from antibiotic. Overly defensive.
