Biography
Carol Cox, MD, FACOG is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and brings over 20 years of experience in advanced gynecological care to Tampa. She serves as Chair of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the Tampa Bay region and is an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Florida. Dr. Cox believes in getting to know her patients and establishing trust enabling her to give them the knowledge and empowerment they need to find wellness. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children, riding horses and listening to music. Dr. Cox believes that getting to know her patients and establishing trust and open dialogue is key to the best long term women’s health. She enjoys travel, music and outdoor activities and is a Troop leader for Girl Scouts of West Central Florida.

17 years ago Dr Carol Cox ,after cesarean sowed up small intestines to my ovariesTampa General hospital ,I was sick unto death with infection that went to my blood stream, and no one told me what happened, in 2015 I had an historsctomy by another doctor and again almost loose my life because the doctor have to cut my intestines to remove my ovaries.
