Doctor Mugisha has been my Family Doctor for many years now. He's patient, n knows exactly what to give you for ur health. He listens and addresses ur concerns accordingly. And has a good sense of humor where u can joke with him.

I saw Dr. Mugisha a few years back for a mole. He wanted to burn it off (actually liquid nitrogen I believe) but I pointed to a poster in the exam room showing examples of skin cancer and how the mole matched the poster. He still wanted to burn it off and I had to say I would leave and go elsewhere if he did not excise it and have it checked. He finally agreed but was not happy. It turned out to be malignant melanoma. During my follow up he did not acknowledge how he had not taken me seriously at the first visit and shrugged it off. He wanted to excise more of the area and while looking at the report that clearly stated where it was he asked me where it was. I asked to be referred to a dermatologist for the follow up treatment and he refused. I again said I would go elsewhere to get the referral if he would not do it. Again he finally agreed but was disgruntled. I had the dermatologist conduct the further excision and follow up. Given malignant melanoma has a very high mortality rate, I probably would not be here if I did not force Dr. Mugisha to treat my concerns seriously. Needless to say I never went back.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Mugisha for over 30 years. He’s always been the best Doctor our family has ever had. It would take some doing to replace him. His receptionist is wonderful as well.

The staff is courteous and so is Dr. James Mugisha. He is very professional and caring and give you all the time and the consideration.
