Absolutely perfect experience! I moved here from Redmond, WA where I had surgery for a macular pucker and cataract in the right eye. In the future, I will need cataract surgery on the left eye and I have complete confidence that the procedure is not a concern. When researching an ophthalmologist online, I came across a very negative review on Dr. Hiatt from some disgruntled woman who had her nose out of joint because he was late for her appointment. I mentioned this to Dr. Hyatt, and he explained that he had to deal with a young girl who was in pain as result of being poked in the eye with a pencil. He explained that to the woman and her response was " does she have an appointment ? " If you are not back here in 5 minutes, I'm leaving. " Dr. Hiatt's response was, " I' save you the 5 minutes, why don't you leave now! " GOOD FOR HIM! He's too good to have to deal with people like that.

If you could imagine being legally blind (eyesight worse than 20/200) then imagine having eyesight of 20/400. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to postpone my eye surgery for quite some time, and because of this, my eyesight in both eyes deteriorated to 20/400 and I was only able to see things just a few inches away. However, thanks to Dr. Drew Hiatt, my vision has been restored even though my cataracts were very dense! Dr. Hiatt performed my complicated cataract surgery flawlessly and without me suffering any pain. Now, the eyesight in my right eye is 20/30 and my left eye is 20/60 and it is still improving! This is without corrective lenses. Dr. Hiatt performed a miracle on my eyes! He is truly tops in his field. Dr. Hiatt and his staff are very friendly and caring people. They took the time to make me feel comfortable every step of the way. If you have ANY vision concerns, I whole heartedly recommend that you see Dr. Hiatt for the very best care!

He has been taking care of my elderly mother for several years now. He is a great guy with a caring attitude! I take my Mom to see him out in Mesa all the way from North Scottsdale twice a year! She won't go to anyone else.

I thought Dr.Drew was great. My mom and I came to him after going to another doctor that was pretty scary. He did what he said he was going to do and I thought it was really nice of him to help walk my mom to the car after her surgery. The office was very clean and appealing as well. At first I was a little concerned because of his age but as he pointed out he had lots of these surgeries under his belt and in some cases more than other physicians. Overall my mom's eyesight is great and she is very pleased she did the surgery.
