Avoid this doctor at all cost.

Dr. Shelley Ross was incredibly abusive with me and my wife, an unbelievable lack of humanity and respect.
She harassed us for my wife rejecting her advice to receive pharmaceuticals during labour.

She made statements like "Then you prefer to suffer? You prefer that your baby dies?" etc.

She arrived late to the labour, and while my wife was pushing the baby out she just kept bashing on her making improper comments and arguing with me about her medical advice being mandatory when it was not.

She acted against our consent multiple times, and I had to warn her to stop multiple times and that I would file a complaint.

Eventually my daughter was born, and after a brief moment she said she would take the baby away, both me and my wife said we wanted more time with our newborn baby. Dr. Ross said "No, I will take it now", after that, she forced herself on my wife, trying to take our baby from her arms, my wife asked me for help in despair, I ran around the bed and pushed the doctor's arms away.

This woman should not be licensed, after this event I've made some research and she has multiple episodes like this with other pregnant women, she treats her patients like cattle and she is unprofessional, cruel and inhumane.

I filled a complaint at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC and the Burnaby Hospital.

Such a worst peronnnel being as a "DOCTOR", not even saying she's responsible for taking care of pregnancy women. People always say choOsing a hospital with a good OB is very important. But I always think let's just get things easy, which proved I'm seriously wrong!! I was assigned by my family doctor to Bunraby Hospital after my 12wks pregnancy for further monthly check up. At the beginning everything was okay, even long wait time for each visit but I understand sometime doctors have their priorities to do. During 28wks, suffering a serious left side bone pain without any strength or moving ability on my left leg, so I went for an emergency. She was the one oncall on that day so she has been paged back to the hospital to treat me. She was very unpatient and aggresive on me, yelled at me to move up my leg. I said I can't. She just violently lifted up my whole leg and just DROP it. And yelled "use strength!!". She was so impatient and so wanna leave so she give me a shot of "morphine"!!! jesus christ for god sake! That is harmful to the baby and she didn't inform me about that. Also, not even till my injection she was left the hospital already! The most unfortunately thing is during my 12wks ultrasound there was a cyst shown in my left ovarine she has nether read my reaport nor inform me about that. She just said I should see physio about your physical pain!!! Until now, I moved and change my hospital to BC Women and found out I have this cyst thing! This doctor could even use an UNKNOWN phone to call me and yelled at me saying I use her resource! If I am not planning to give birth at her hospital at the end I shouldn't go visit her as emergency! She said I'm using her resources. I can't use people like that......WELL, ALL I COULD SAY IS I'M SO GRATEFUL I CHOOSE TO CHANGE THE HOSPITAL. WHO KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I GIVE BIRTH THERE WITH HER.

Be warned, don't visit this doctor. This is the worst doctor in town. No respect to patients, threaten to pregnant women. I've never seen such an awful doctor before

I delivered at Burnaby Hospital last July. Dr. Ross was the doctor on the unit. She was okay through the delivery. Afterwards I had some complications with clotting and she and the nursing team were very rude. Also, we stayed overnight with our newborn - and in the morning she did my check up - and she grabbed my stomach, wiggled it and said "now we just need to lose this" - referring to me needing to lose weight. It was awful.

Dr Ross, helped save my moms life and got my mom an extra year and a half of life. She delivered myself and two siblings. She’s an unbelievable lady and I would recommend her with pride any day.

This woman has no business being in medicine. There's no other way to say it. When I was younger, most of my conversations were with her back, and her writing my answers before I gave them. When I got older, she became definitively abusive, including yelling at me to "just lay back" when I pleaded with her not to force am unconsenting genital exam on me. I later learned she also brazenly lied about laws around women's contraception. If you're a former patient, please join me in demanding accountability.

This woman's attitude towards birthing mums is truly disgusting. No respect at all. Treat patients like cattles. Must avoid at all costs.

Dr. Ross delivered my son in 1995, New Years Eve. She was by far one of the best doctors I have ever had. Very knowledgeable and I was glad to have the opportunity to have her there at the birth. Thank You!

My mom said that Dr.Ross delivered me when i was born she was a very kind docter and had a great personality now my mom is having another baby and she wishes Dr.Ross was there to deliver my baby brother or sister.
