Dr. Shaw is wonderful!! My husband has hemochromatosis...genetic disorder that causes iron overload. Dr. Shaw is the first Dr. in 12 years to get it regulated. We have been to some of the best Drs. in New York, & Pa. He explains, takes his time and is knowledgable & caring. I would highly recommend him.

I luv Dr Shaw. He gave me so much time, 30-45 min, and no, that is not time sitting alone waiting for him. That is the time HE spends in the exam room with you. He is super-compassionate, a great listener, and obviously, more intelligent than the average doc. I presented with a host of symptoms including rapid weight loss and loss of appetite, and Dr Shaw extensively worked me up for tumors. He told me he would not give up until we figured out what was wrong. He battled my ins company over their repeated denials of tests that he ordered and always got them approved. The office staff is great, will squeeze you in in an emergency, and always promptly returns phone calls. The only negative is that sometimes I waited up to 30 mins past my appt time to see Dr Shaw, but that is only because he gives each of his patients as much time as THEY need, so he is often running a bit behind. My problem turned out to not be a tumor, but if I ever need a hem/onc again, I will definetely see Dr Shaw.
