I’ve been seeing Dr. Chow for most of my life and I have nothing but good things to say about him. He is always kind, gentle mannered, informative, & empowering. I’ve always felt safe going to him about anything that may come up, no matter how embarrassing or frightening it might be. I moved to Vancouver and have kept him as my primary doctor. I have always felt cared for on a personal level with him; he makes me feel like more than just another appointment to tick off his list.
He’s always respected my point of view, while also sharing his thoughts with me in a palatable way. He is very informative, and answers any questions I have in ways that I can understand, and encourages me to do research (which I have a deep passion for) whenever I would like a deeper understanding of things than can be provided in the time he has available. He always provides me with the information necessary to make informed decisions about my health, and doesn’t disregard me when I suggest treatment options that I have in mind or am opposed to. He is cooperative when appropriate, and kind, yet assertive, when cooperation isn’t a viable option.
He follows up with me when he knows that my health is suffering, and has gone above and beyond to support me when he’s observed a need for it. Overall, he’s a wonderful physician and human, and I highly recommend him!

Dr. Chow has been my doctor for almost 20 years and even though I no longer live in Abbotsford, I will drive there to see him. He is so genuine, kind, personable, and an exceptional doctor. I have never once felt rushed during an appointment and he listens to what you’re saying and how you’re feeling and he cares about you and what’s going on in your life and does everything possible he can to help you. Honestly I cannot say enough good things about him.

Dr Chow has been my Dr since he started his practice in Abbotsford. He is a super kind person who treats his patients with compassion, dignity and respect. He only perscripes pharmaceuticals as a last effort if a condition can be treated in a more holistic way. I literally trust him with my life. I wouldn't want any other Dr. He is amazing.

Dr. Chow is an excellent Dr. He is very knowledgeable and great at communicating. He is respectful, kind, patient, and informative. He asks me not only about my present concerns, but also about my life in general, mental wellness, and existing medical conditions.

He has called me to follow up on medications and other concerns of his, visited me in the hospital when I was unwell (both without prompting!), and removed my IUD immediately upon request (after 3 other medical professionals in other clinics refused and insisted on treating the adverse side effects it was causing).

He has referred me to a number of specialists that are equally as excellent in patient care as he is. The staff at Whatcom Medical are all phenomenal. They are friendly, reliable, informative, and patient. I‘ve consistently had a better experience with him and his colleagues than elsewhere and I have remained his patient in spite of moving out of the city.

I drive in from Vancouver to see him, sometimes with one of Dr. Chow’s colleagues when he is unavailable for a last minute booking. Thanks to Dr. Chow, I always have a sense of safety and certainty in my healthcare providers, as well as confidence in following treatment plans and seeking treatment for conditions that I otherwise would be uncomfortable sharing about. Dr. Chow has always remained professional while also empathic and compassionate.

I do often have to wait for some time for my appointment, but due to Dr. Chow’s diligence with me, I never mind the wait because I‘m certain that he’s doing the same with his other patients.
