Dr Keeling removed a grow on each of my ears by a "shave biopsy". Was in and out within 10 minutes. Excellent care and attention

I went into Symmetry Dermatology 3 years ago to have an absess removed. Mr. Keeling did not properly review my ultrasound as for some reason he thought he didn't need to! He treated 2 minor cysts and sent me out the door. I went back to the clinic complaining about the lump and told him it was causing me pain. Dr.Keeling dismissed me and was rude saying he's the professional. Ha! So he sent me away again leaving this absess inside of me. A week ago the deep tissue internal absess below my tailbone burst and I had fluid gushing out of me I am now on very strong antibiotics waiting for emergency surgery with a different surgeon. I called the clinic to tell Dr.Keeling what was going on with me and they denied negligence and told me they wouldn't help me!! I would never set foot in Dr.Keelings clinic again! The purpose of my call was to aware them of this medical negligence. Do not ever go to see this Dr. When an absess is left untreated it can cause an internal infection that can lead to sepsis!! He could have killed me worst case scenario. You've been warned.

Very arrogant, rude and dismissive. Dr. Keeping put my teen daughter on 18 months of antibiotics for acne that destroyed her gut and led to autoimmune disease. Further, he kept refusing to remove abnormal and growing moles and wanted her to book appointments every six months to check up on them instead of a simple removal and sending them for testing. Finally, when my daughter arrived to her 3rd appointment for the same moles he refused to see her. Absolutely devastating. We got significantly better care (immediate removal and testing, no condescension and rudeness) at another dermatologist.

I've seen Dr. Keeling and his team many of times for many reasons ranging from warts, moles, lumps to cosmetic surgical procedures. I have always been treated with respect, felt welcome and had everything explained to me that was going on. Added bonus he have a great sense if humor!!

Awful bedside manner and honestly seems like a not nice human being. As a healthcare professional myself, I was appalled a professional would act this way. I would fail my practicum students if they ever acted this way. First impression is he does not like his job or people, is insecure and compensates by being arrogant, or has some mental health and/or social issues himself. However, he was somewhat helpful with my reason for referral. I left his office with the answers I was expecting, but feeling awful because of how I was treated. He also had a bunch of students come into my appointment and did not introduce them nor failed to ask for my consent to have them there. Very awkward and not best practice. Overall, he seems confident in his knowledge and skills, but awful with connecting with patients. Based on the other reviews on this website, it sounds like he is generally not great at the bedside manner. If how you are treated as person matters, I would avoid this doctor. His nurse was also very abrupt and rude.

Ugh. This 'doctor' has absolutely NO bedside manner. He was very condescending and smug. very unprofessional. His license to practice should be pulled on that alone. And his 'assistant' ? I have never had to tell a medical professional to stop talking, but I wasn't going to listen to her acting like she was the boss of the entire world. She should have hung up her scrubs years ago. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Saw him a few years ago and he was great, not now! His nurse thinks she's the doctor and makes the diagnosis before he gets in the room. She dismisses what your concerns are and says " he's not going to do anything about that." He was very sharp and rude and made me feel guilty about why I was there and wasting his time. My legit concerns were not a concern to him or his assistant/interrogator. I will never go back and have told my doctor why. I suggest you don't waste your time going to see him.

Very condescending and dismissive. As a health professional myself, my experience with this doctor still leaves me humiliated years later.

I have never met such a wonderful caring funny and polite doctor in my life. Not to mention his wonderful staff too. We were nervous about all the tests they did. he was we can’t fix something unless we get to the root of it. He’s very professional. Keep up the great work. High recommend this doctor

Apparently, Dr. Keeling is able to diagnose without talking to, getting history from and physically examining patients, because in his words, this is what all my other patients have! Dr. Keeling says that he knows a moose when he sees it, and not a coyote, because he knows a moose from a coyote! And, this strange analogy was used at least twice, maybe 3 times in the consult. Very weird! When a patient is trying to explain to the best of their ability what their symptoms are and past medical history, the extra wide-eyed look and eye rolling from both him and his assistant is unprofessional to say the very least. Dr. Keeling is very condescending and a consultation with a physician shouldn’t leave you feeling like you are being intimidated and interrogated. Hey doc, if you have to keep telling your patients over and over again that you know what you are talking about, then I would suggest that you are probably trying to over-compensate for something, and that doesn’t instill confidence and ensure patient retention. Do better! I won’t be back but the next new patient you see will surely appreciate your efforts.
