Dr. Eva Smil was always so caring about all her patients. We miss her immensely and we hope she is enjoying her retirement.

She was my doctor for 30 and also took care of my Mother, Grandfather, sister, and friends! She was the most caring doctor who everyone wanted! Yes she usually ran late but this happened because she listened to ALL of your problems, she never limited you to only 2 problems! I always told her that I'd be lost without her and she couldn't retire on me!! Now that she has retired I really am lost without her and her care! She always sent me to the specialist that I needed and always wanted to know how I made out with them! Any person on here that gave a bad review of her is out of their mind or just wanted drugs from her and she refused to prescribe for them!! Too many took advantage of her caring heart and then thought she would just give them the drugs that they said they needed. When she refused them or said she couldn't be their doctor anymore they screamed at her and had a ridiculous fit infront of everyone in the waiting room!! I felt so bad for her but I'm glad she stood her ground with those messed up people. I wish very much that she was still my doctor as the doctor I'm stuck with now doesn't care even a quarter about me as she always did!! She deserves to have happiness in her retirement as she gave her heart and soul to her practice!! Every weekend and holiday she was doing files or paperwork at home and after all those years I'm sure it took a huge toll on her! She deserved the little holidays she took and yes she caught up on her paperwork at home before she left on a great holiday! Dr Smil if you ever read these reviews I want you to ignore any negative talk about you, I know in my heart that you gave your everything to us all!! You deserve to be happy and travel with your husband all over the world and spending time with your son!! I miss you very much, I hope you're well, and I want to thank you for everything you did for me, Mom, Gramps, and friends!! I honestly wish I could have you over for tea and just enjoy your company! The flowers I bought you were sincerely from my heart and you deserved them always!! Take care of yourself and know that you were a great doctor, listener, friend, and I Cindy L. hope to see you again one day!! Please find me again when you can and come over for sum tea and biscuits with me so I can show you my appreciation for your loving care!! Dr. Smil saw me since I was 11 years old. I really miss her. She was such a good doctor and she was really interested in my health. I hope she has a blessed retirement.

Not once has she had my test results. Each time I make an appointment to see her, she comments on the length of time its been since my last "test". I remind her I had blood work or whatever the test is...I ask if she has the results. She indicates "no..will call for results". I go back another 6 months later, again she still hasn't received the results. She doesn't follow up. I'm so glad there hasn't been anything too serious with my health. She is too quick to prescribe meds that aren't necessary. She has not followed up with innovations in medicine. I am prompt for my appointments and yet, still have to wait upwards of 2 hours before she can see me. I had to switch doctors.

I have not seen Doctor Smil for 6 years as my family and I moved to Vancouver. I will say this. We really can use Doctors like her out here in BC. She took care of my family in Winnipeg for many years, and did an awesome job. in BC, we mostly have walk in clinics for Medical Care. Miss having an actual family doctor!

Dr. Smil has been my G.P. for 30 years. She is a wonderful person and a great doctor. Appointments can get backed up sometimes but that’s because she is so caring. She has referred me to specialists when needed and always fits me in if needed. My biggest worry is she will retire and I will have to find a new G.P.

Excellent doctor. Listens and very kind. Not to many left with passion like her, most doctors today, stare at their prescription pad s, rather than their patients. Not Dr. Smil, she's a gem and one of kind. Will be sad when she retires.

Absolutely failed my elderly mother on several fronts. Never follows up on referrals or test results - especially on a life-threatening issue. Glad I found a new competent physician who promptly referred my mother to a specialist who is now taking action. This doctor should retire.
