Dr Zaki performed sigmoid colectomy surgery on me in April 2023. I was hospitalized for 11 days after the surgery and he was totally caring and professional throughout my stay at HSC. He kept me informed every day as to what was going on and what steps we were taking next toward my recovery. He saved my life and my gratitude is endless. I could not have asked for a more caring surgeon! You should be as lucky! EW

I went to talk to Dr Zaki to have a lump checked. He never felt the lump, but decided that it was a fat lump. I am overweight, but without feeling it or extracting fluid (it's a hard lump, not like my fat belly lumps), how can you determine what the lump is? He did a breast exam and a groin exam and did not have a female attendant in the room or ask if I wanted one. I was very uncomfortable and felt this was very unprofessional of him. He wasn't going to leave the room when I went to remove my bra. I had to request for him to wait outside. He asked me a question if I had experienced any stomach issues, which I replied I did. He reported to my GP that I "completely denied" having any stomach issues

I recently had emergency surgery performed by Dr. Zaki. He was very thorough in explaining the surgery and i was both happy and lucky to have such a fine man take care of me. I am on the mend and a big thank you to him and the staff at the Grace Hospital .

Dr Zaki performed emergency colostomy surgery on me in March, 2020. The surgery went well I am told. Because there was a lot of infection I was on antibiotics for 6 weeks after I was released. I also had a drain hole that needed to be packed and changed daily for over 2 months until it closed. It took awhile but I recovered. I am now going back to have this colostomy bag removed and my colon reattached next month. I was lucky to be able to have a reversal as soe people are not and have to live with this! I'm not sure why I never saw Dr Zaki until my followup but there was a surgical team that came to see me early every morning while I was in the Grace Hospital that was great! I was well taken care. The hardest thing was not having any family there as the day of my surgery was the day they told my husband he had to leave and couldn't come back due to Covid 19! A big thank you to Dr. Zaki for a surgery that saved my life.

Dr.Zaki recently removed my gallbladder, from start to finish he was kind, caring, and incredibly professional. He did a phenomenal job with surgery and I have never felt better! His staff are lovely, attentive, and professional! All around amazing experience!! Highly recommended!

Knowledgeable, attentive, answered all questions in a way I could understand. Surgery almost got bumped because I didn't get request for bloodwork until 4 days before, hospital likes 2 weeks. Now 3.5 weeks after surgery, have left 5 messages, and can't get callback for 3 to 4 week follow up appointment. Great surgeon if you can ever get in to see him.

He saved my life back in January of 2018. I am so happy he was on call that night. The second surgery was difficult and turned out very well.

Dr Zakir has done my hernias.. appendix.. colonoscopy..and gastroscopy... I wouldn't go to anyone else...he's the best
