We had a terrible experience there before retirement.

Review is a little late as he is now retired. We miss him already. He saw my son right up until retirement (age 17) as he had some issues and we were having trouble finding a good GP for him. He was absolutely wonderful with both of my kids. So much knowledge on ADHD, anxiety, depression in teens and kids. Winnipeg is at a loss now that he's gone!

I was so very blessed to find Dr. Bermack for both of my children at ages 4 and 8. They had problems not understood by other doctors, but he knew right away what to do. I so appreciated him explaining to my child “It’s not your fault” and years later we were happy to find he was taking new patients when my grandchild needed a paediatrician. He even filled out forms to help my now adult child, even though it was not office policy.

The staff is angry and disorgnized and they talk about patients in the halls. It's time to leave,

My mom called up Dr B out of the blue in January of 1985 after my sister was born, asking if he was taking new patients. Angie at the front desk said “I keep telling him not to, but yes.”

9 years later, I followed, and he took me on.

25 years later, I had my son. I looked him up but saw he was retiring and wasn’t taking new patients, so my family doctor said she would take him on. Boy, was THAT a disaster. My son was 7 months old last March when I called Dr B’s office in tears , hoping to get the name of someone who could help me address the chronic spit-up and plagiocephaly that my doctor was ignoring (the advice I was given for the reflux was “turn up the heat and let him go naked”). I told Angie who I was, and she left me on hold for a minute before coming back saying, “I told Dr B who you were and what you needed. He’s agreed to see your son.”

Dr B has been amazing with my son. Within weeks of seeing him, my son was on medication for his reflux (which was amazing), had appointments for his plagiocephaly, and even had another issue diagnosed.

I know he’s planning to retire soon and isn’t likely to take on more people, but I’m so grateful that he has been able to help us, even just for a short while. We love Dr B!

He knows EVERYTHING. It will be a massive disaster when he retires, literally no one can take his shoes. He’s looked after me and my children.

He has literally saved the lives of no less than five people I know directly. With early diagnoses of serious illnesses he is a godsend.

Dr Bermack is a wonderful pediatrician, I'm very glad my son has him as his doctor. He is attentive, very knowledgeable and gets to the bottom of issues. He is easy to talk to and has a nice sense of humour as well. We cross the city to go see him and it's well worth it.

By far the best pediatrician in Manitoba. A very kind man who has time for you and your questions. He cares for the children like there his own. A true gem!

Wonderful caring doctor! I know he's getting on in years and sometimes goes on a tangent, BUT he knows his stuff and his so very helpful! We are lucky to have him as our pediatrician. Staff is amazing as well!

Dr Bermack and his staff have always been so kind and caring. Dr Bermack is a wonderful Doctor. If you feel that there might be something going on he will take the time to listen. As a parent I am so very thankful that we were able to have Dr Bermack.
