I have been seeing DR.Wade for 8 1/2 yrs and he has COMPLETELY changed my life.I started seeing him 8/2004 and shortly after got pregnant. After I had my son I suffered SEVERE post-partum depression(almost post-partum psychosis).I could not touch my son for 3 days and intended on ending my own life after my son saw his 1st Christmas.I went back to see DR.Wade and he quickly put me on some medication and monitored me very closely and gave me his email address if I started having any reactions or problems w/ my meds.I enjoy our sessions and pay for 30mins but I am usually there for about 1hr.He is very laid back and makes you feel comfortable, and does not have to look at your chart to remember things.I have even sent my sister to him when she show concern for herself. His receptionist is very nice and welcoming,it is almost like family.I STRONGLY recommend him if you are looking for a GOOD doctor whom you can trust and can feel comfortable with.Definitely an EXCELLENT Doctor

I've been to several pill pushing Pdocs. A lot are crazier than I am. Wade is a savy old vet of 40yrs of psychiatric experience. He's seen quite a bit. He is the least arrogant psychiatrist I have been around, and he is very relaxed. Doesn't argue with you about your problems & he tries to fix them, but not too aggressively. He may be worth a try if you are tired of the one you are seeing.

I was satisfied with Dr. Wade for the few years I have been seeing him. I am starting to doubt him and question his motives. I have been taking antidepressants since age 12. I have been put on so many of them that I have lost count. The only two that have ever really worked for me are Wellbutrin and Effexor. Unfortunately, after a year or two of taking these two they stop working. I was on Wellbutrin several years ago and was taken off of it and switched to Effexor. When Effexor stopped working, I went back to Wellbutrin and it was working very well again. I am now back to the same place. I want to go back to taking Effexor because I know it will work. However, Dr. Wade keeps pushing new medications on me that he has free samples of. The latest medication, Latuda, was one of the worst experiences. I have to go back and spend more money to try and convince him to put me back on a medication that I know will work from experience. I am sick of being a lab rat. I just want to be happy.

I had never been to see a psychiatrist before and I was very nervous. Dr. Wade was so helpful and really made me feel at ease and even put a smile on my face. I don't care that I have to drive an hour to go see him, he is definitely worth the trip.

I have suffered from depression and anxiety since I was 12. I started seeing Dr. Wade five years ago and he is the best I've had. He started on a medication that has changed my whole life for the better. He will work with you and take your opinion into consideration. He always explains his recommendations.

Easy going pdoc who listens to you and doesn't dismiss your opinion. Doesn't overdo the touchy-feely nonsense and gets to the point. Keeps the meds coming with little argument.

He was only interested in talking about my ex and his wife, who are socially prominent here. He knew nothing about ADD. He gave me whatever medicines he had as samples, nothing consistently. When I went through a major depression due to a bus accident, he refused to give me an excused absence, resulting in the loss of my (part-time) job (I am on disability). When I tried to talk to him about this, his secretary hung up on me. When I told my son (a business manager) he tried to talk to Dr. Wade, and the receptionist not only would not put him through, but hung up on him! If you want to lose the only thing you have going for you -in my case, a part-time job that I LOVED, and get no help in the process, then go see Dr. Wade, by all means.
