Dr. Manbir Singh was very slow and he couldn't resolve my issues on time as planned that I suffered for another 4 years in getting rid of the symptoms over how long it would have taken. Its interesting.
Hospital services seem to know more. Happy retirement tho.

I saw him 6-7 times in my mid-20s. There were so many issues stemming from a severely abusive childhood. He did nothing besides tell me that I was a coward, and that my bedridden mother wasn't suffering but his friend dying of cancer had real suffering. Only thing he did to help me was to give me his dying office plant. 35 years later, the plant is doing great, and between my therapists, my family doctor, and one-off consultations with 2 competent psychiatrists, I'm doing vastly better. Some reviewers say he has helped them, and I'm glad, but for anyone with trauma issues: run, don't walk, as far away as possible. (Thanks for the plant, Dr. S.)

Do not bother seeing Singh regarding ADHD. His understanding of it is outdated and very limited. At the very least, he might have asked for further elaboration on why I was asking to be evaluated for it, rather than shut me down. As if the 2+ hours giving my history prior to this hadn’t contained at least 10 detailed references to traits, and experiences which I now know are highly correlated with ADHD, in addition to a family history - and not really correlated with the anxiety he decided I had. I’ve since had a psychologist, psychiatrist, and GP agree that ADHD is definitely a factor affecting my mental health.

i had this ignorant man as a psychiatrist for problems with severe depression as a youth. he offered no advice, no comfort, and barely spoke during the two meetings i had with him before discontinuing any further appointments. he'd sit in a chair across from me and literally stare into a notebook for 15 minutes at a time, upon the elapse of which, he'd give me a sample pack of some antidepressant medication and tell me "time is up". this man is a true charlatan. zero out of 5 stars.

When I visited Dr. Singhs office the issue is that he didn't diagnose me right or may have found something that was present later with time which is understandable, however his issue is that theres not much he's doing to help his patient and he's not a good listener. He's too old.

I had depression and Dr. Singh slows the process of recovering from depression which maybe just me but I don't think depression needs medication. It took me not that long after I left his office back in 2011 to recover from depression. Just be natural and healthy. Sometimes being left alone is better. However, he could have helped me better with other issues. Super slow progression.
