Why would they keep such a rude receptionist? Doesn't make any sense at all- she should be fired

I was recommended to take my son to Dr. Santiago and the doctor that recommended me spoke very highly about her, unfortunately when I call to schedule the appointment was so rude and unprofessional, she told me they did not accept my insurance plan when they sure did because I called my insurance and they confirmed she is in network. I don't think the doctor would appreciate the staff talking like that and being so negative and rude with patients and people that want to become patient. It is a shame because as parents we deal more with the staff than the doctor most of the time.

The staff seem to hate their job! They are unfriendly on the phone and the same in person too. Dr Santiago seems to be too busy to fit in new patients, yet her office apparently accepts new patients. The other 2 doctors end up seeing her new patients which I didn't appreciate as I picked HER as my son's doctor.

If you are looking for a Doctor with excellent bedside manner, Dr. Santiago is the Doctor for you. Not only is she professional, polite, sensitive to your needs, she is down to earth too! As a mom, she makes you think you are doing everything fine when it comes to your child...She'll say "Mom, you are doing good, keep giving him...And whenever you see her in the stores, she greets me and my son with a hug and a smile. She is more than a Pediatrician, she's like family you can trust with your precious children. My son started going to Dr. Santiago since he was born until about 8year old. We were having financial problems at the time and our bills were addding up and went to collections, unfortunately after it was paid, they did not take us back. They tried to help us, but business is business, such a loss because we really miss her.

Dr. Santiago is very nice but unfortunetly misdiagnosed my son few times now. I don't trust her anymore, and yes the staff althought mostly nice, the girl that makes appointments is horrific. I actually know some of the staff had left the place because of her.... Sad that such a young girl can be so heartless.

Dr. Santiago has good bedside manner, is patient and caring. She is reassuring even when serious things are wrong - she helps you understand the issue and provide reasonable solutions.

Dr Santiago is a wonderfull person and a great doctor. However, if you have an emergency appointment, you never get to see her - it is one of the other two doctors which are nice as well. Unfortunatelly the front desk person is very difficult to deal with and can be rude at times. My daughter really like dr Santiago and when she is sick she doesn't want to see anyone elase. When I asked the recaptionist to make an appointment with her she would always say it's not possible, although the doctor was in the office that day. It didn't metter that the child feels comfortable with that particular doctor and cries with the other one. That happened many times and the front desk person was always so unpleasant...

Dr. Santiago is very kind and helpful. She was recommended to me by my OBGYN when other peds would not treat a breastfeeding-related condition I had (they were not knowledgable about it and kept misdiagnosing it). Dr. Santiago was such a relief- she was familiar with the condition and provided treatment immediately so I was able to get better. She also returns calls after hours. She is a very sweet person. Her staff is very nice and also, they don't keep you waiting forever to see her. Would highly recommend.
