Dr Akey is widely renowned as a truly excellent diagnostician, very highly respected in the medical community as an excellent internist. Furthermore, she practices Integrative Medicine, which is invaluable & very hard to find. Dr. Akey is very personable, a true "Practitioner of the Healing Arts" who treats her patients as real people with real lives - as opposed to the more typical "business of medicine" assembly line of body parts/symptoms too many doctors practice nowadays. Dr. Akey is now (9/2013) creating an excellent Integrative Healing Center in SilverLeaf (NW Gville by Cox), where a variety of other healing practitioners also provide service to patients - including a psychologist for counseling help (including family therapy), massage, craniosacral therapy, acupuncture, nutrition, chiropractic, "immediate care," etc. The new Healing Center is very calming & pleasant, and all employees are helpful & cheerful. I highly recommend Dr. Akey for all who want genuine healing help.

THE best physician I have ever been to. Always spends time listening to all your symptoms and health concerns. She is very friendly and easy to talk to and listen to. Her office is a very pleasant environment and her staff is always helpful and courteous. I highly recommend this doctor!

She is the best doctor I have ever been to. She is VERY knowledgeable and is always up to date on the newest medical findings. Very good with managing diabetes and other endocrin disorders.
