Dr. Stein is a geriatric psychiatrist. He specializes in treating older patients. Because he is a medical doctor as well as a psychiatrist, he takes the patient's medical condition into consideration when treating his patients. Dr. Stein is extremely helpful, not only to his patients, but also to their families. I took my mother to see him because she was very depressed and he helped her resume her life. He was a great comfort to the whole family. I never felt rushed by him when I had questions or concerns. He is very knowledgeable about medicine and how to appropriately treat symptoms without over medicating or relying only on meds to help the patient. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is older or has an older relative in need of care. Dr. Stein is very popular. It took us a little while to get in to see him, but it was well worth the wait.
